The Feast of Fortuna has just passed and the Argo Mark II has landed safely within the borders of Camp Jupiter. The Greeks sought to make peace with the Romans, and so far all is well. Jason has been reunited with those he had forgotten and now remembers and Percy has also been reunited with friends and also his girlfriend Annabeth. Some of the Romans are still wary of the Greeks, despite the fact they brought back their lost praetor, Jason, but nobody is more angered by their presence than Camp Jupiter’s Augur, Octavian.
Though now after a few day's peace, a new trouble arises. And the Gods have never seen anything like it before. It's not a monster and has the power of a God but as far as they know, it isn't either Greek nor Roman which has them confused. The God is one, in actual fact, what has been come to be known as a Vea God named Saccularius, who is the God of Trickery and Deception. He is the son of two other Vea Gods, Mouggos and Geminus, which is why no Greek or Roman God have ever heard of him.
He has been contacted by Gaia to help her bring down the Olympians and take the world as her own. The pefect pawn piece for her to use to distract the Olympians from her true plans, which are yet to unfold. Ever since he has started causing havoc, demigods have started to go missing from both camps and also a third which they have yet to discover. The third camp is the home of the Vea demigods, where they learn the ways of battle in a medieval style. The camp resides in Kansas and is stuck in this time period for the time when most of the Vea gods were born and hidden away.
The reason they were not known by any of the other Gods apart from their parents and a select few others was because of a ban of godly births that Zeus issued during the medieval period hence the camp's medieval setting. The demigods are just as powerful as the others but bring to the table a whole new fighting style and a range of different powers. Like Camp Half-Blood and Jupiter they have their own overseers, in place of Chiron and Lupa they have Sir Lancelot and The Lady of the Lake who share the duty of watching the camp.
The Greeks and Romans have yet to discover these new demigods but soon their secrecy will be no more as the Vea Gods are preparing to offer their help to their parents as they now know of the danger that one of their own presents. And when the existence is found out another great prophecy shall be recited declaring the only way to bring peace once more will to be for them to work as one, demigods and gods alike, Greeks, Romans and Veas. As it is the only way they will able to truly stop Gaia from breaking her bounds and send her back to sleep.
