The Gotham moon was full tonight and radiating a glow on the streets. Some statistics say that people are more likely to behave more savagely on a full moon than without one, but this wasn’t the case for him, because the moon didn’t solar power the Joker. His engine of murder was fully capable of starting any day, rain or shine. But nonetheless this was a bright full moon and it really did light up the streets and the darkest of alleys and even had an overpowering effect on the street lights that were meant to do such a thing in the first place.
He had no intentions of acting mischievous when he stepped out on the rooftop of an abandoned apartment building and pushed his soon to be former colleague over the ledge. It was just good fun, an amusing kick for laughs. Not so earlier, the recruited clown informed the Joker that he gained the ability of flight. He appeared very convinced that he could and pleaded that the Joker himself witnesses the demonstration first hand. He didn’t actually believe his patron in crime could actually, say, fly, but who was the Joker to doubt a hopeful dreamer? The claimed feat definitely invoked his interest and it was more than worth a look if not a push.
Which was exactly what the Joker had done, give the fellow a helpful little push off the ledge, a true nice effort of teamwork, no doubt. The mad recruit flailed his arms with will and excitement soon after becoming airborne and for just a moment Joker Eyes believed they had seen the impossible and almost anticipated to see him take a roaring uplift into the Gotham air… but the laws of physics had other plans. He plummeted straight down into sidewalk pavement just beneath a street light that happily displayed the mess with expert lighting. The Joker peered over the ledge and breathed a deep sigh of disappointment, ”Gravity always a holding a man down.”
