For those of you who don't already know, I'm having twins. Currently, my "due date" is November 21st, but I honestly doubt they're going to let me wait that long. I'm nearly 31 weeks already, and twins generally come early. This is probably a bit overdue, but I just wanted to make everyone aware of the fact, so that when the time does come, you don't think I've just decided to flake out and vanish from the face of the earth.

Though I'm not sure if a reply was wanted (or the right thing to do) I just felt the need to make mention... First, I'll offer my congratulations; second, that I learned something new, when you mentioned that twins come early; and third, that I was a preemie myself - this crazy seventeen-year-old was born at 25 weeks.

Good luck on everything, Bunny! We'll definitely be around when everything clears up. ^_^

I'm going to try to keep this short, but I wanted to let everyone know that the babies have been born. Bethany was born at 8:29 pm on October 3rd, and Jenna was born shortly after that. Unfortunately, we've had to stay in the hospital due to the fact that Bethany (and Jenna) were born seven weeks early. We lost Jenna to complications, but Bethany is doing fine. They were concerned about one of her lungs being weak but that seems to have cleared up. They are, however, keeping us here until she is able to properly regulate her temperature and until she puts on a little more weight.

Newest update!
Okay, as of the last time I spoke with the nurse in charge of looking after Bethany in the NICU, she had gained forty grams overnight, and weighed in at nearly four pounds and one ounce. If I understand correctly, they want to keep her for at least another week, to make sure she continues to eat as well as she has been the last couple of days. She's still very premature, as she's just barely considered a thirty five week old baby, so we're kind of just waiting to make sure she's ready to eat well enough on her own to gain weight like she needs to. As it stands, we'll be here at least another week, so I will try to get posts in between feedings. She needs to eat at least every three hours, though, so I may be a tad slow.
