Hey End Warriors, it's the Horned Frog here. I really wanted to make a separate guide to the Tartalians, the lovely race that have warned us of the upcoming invasion by the Imperium. As already stated in the previous Guide to the End Wars Universe, the Tartalians have traveled a great number of light-years to get to the third planet of the Sol System. Over many centuries, they have used 'generational' ships that are easily the size of the great cities of Earth, providing a home for this wandering race until their arrival. In this thread, the details about the Tartalians will be stamped out and brought to light.
Long ago, the Tartalians had evolved from a relatively lush planet (dubbed Tartalia) near the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. Much like humanity, they would forgo hunting and gathering for agriculture, which is essential to starting up communities. Communities that would turn into societies, ruled by oligarchs: the elders of the city-state. These city-states would eventually come into contact and eventually, conflict with each other. As the conflicts (as the Tartalians had considered themselves a warlike and barbaric race before the arrival of the NADIS) consumed various city-states of the five continents of Tartalia until five nations arose from these ancient wars. Five nations that will eventually represent the different branches of the Tartalian race: the Masai (Gina's race), the Kinai (described as a blue-skinned, naturally armored race), the Tsani (red-skinned, known as being nautically and aquatically gifted), the Souhi (a pale violet skinned, winged, and lightly armored), and the "Golden Horde" (their real name is lost, but they were regarded as golden-skinned and winged).
Over the centuries, these five branches of the Tartalians have fought against each other in many wars. Some wars, different branches would ally with each other and in other wars, these same allies could end up fighting one another. There were few eras of peace, mostly done to restore each branch's population numbers. Yet old rivalries remained and the wars resumed. That was, until the NADIS arrived from heavens. This frightened the branches of Tartalians as the NADIS employed technology that shocked and awed the five races. With this shock and awe, the NADIS sought audience with representatives of each of the five branches of the overall Tartalian race.
According to the texts of Ginac'imtazai Masai Tartalia's ancestors, the NADIS laid down the terms in which they would grant the Tartalians a share of their advanced technology. The terms were simple: a total ceasefire among the five tribes, along with a common religion to unite them or else risk being annihilated by the Imperium, an ancient and deadly adversary of the NADIS. With talk of impending destruction of their race, the Tartalians were finally able to look at the bigger picture and decide to follow the wishes of the NADIS. Effectively ending the "Wars", the clans forged blood treaties to never fight nor kill another Tartalian for as long as the Tartalian civilization itself lives on. The NADIS in turn provided the technology for the Tartalians to advance itself to harvest materials in their own solar system and prepare for their voyage to the stars to find new planets to colonize and better defend themselves from the Imperium. The NADIS soon left, yet told the Tartalians that they alone cannot defeat the Imperium on their own. They will have to find the "Children of the Protoculture", who will in turn save them from the Imperium's death grip on the stars.
After a few decades of peace and positive development after the departure of the NADIS, the Imperium arrived in the Tartalian home system with sheer size and overwhelming force. Despite fierce resistance from the Tartalians, the Imperium proved to be too much as one of their Fleets of Death broke through defenses and threatened Tartalia itself. And so, each of the five tribes launched their generational ships away from the planet, taking with them select members of their royal families, their royal guardian forces, religious members of each culture, and a select number of chosen citizens to colonize other planets or find other civilizations beyond that of their own.
With the evacuation of these five different fleets, the rest of the Tartalian race stood up for their home planet. It is unknown to what had happened to those who remained, but Tartalian records are not optimistic of the condition of the home planet and those who remained. After many years of travel and the occasional skirmish with Imperium scouting vessels, the lone known branch of Tartalians arrived on Earth. That branch is the Masai, led by clan princess: Ginac'imtazai Masai Tartalia.
First off, the Tartalian race is matriarchal. Evidence does indeed suggest that they were once patriarchal, but that may have changed with the arrival of the NADIS. It may be due to the fact that male Tartalians are inherently more aggressive than that of the female gender, hence why the transfer of power within the royal families as suggested by the NADIS themselves. Indeed, the Tartalian female is looked upon as a lifegiver and protector of future Tartalians, reasons as to why the males conceded power so easily. However, they are many differences within the Tartalian culture that distinguishes itself from that of humanity.
Even though females are political leaders in their own right, the males (especially older males) take religious positions. They keep not only the prophecies and guidelines as to live according to the NADIS, but also historical records of their respective fleet and specific tribe. Also, they do provide advising for their female clan leaders, especially for the Queen or Princess of that tribe. For example, Gina had deeply considered bypassing Earth (due to the 'zoo theory that most scientists have suggested on why extraterrestrials avoid the human race)until convinced otherwise by the religious leaders of the fleet, taking notice that humanity could be the "Children" that the NADIS had told them about. The elders had advised her that if she had bypassed Earth, that the Imperium would not only destroy the 'Children', but the Tartalian race as well. And so, Gina decided to arrive on Earth and seek humanity's friendship...to help them fight against a potential common enemy. Which shows that even though females may have power politically, the elder males do in fact influence the Tartalian race's overall decision.
Below the royal family and the religious leaders, there is the warrior-class of Tartalians. They are the Tartalian Guard, who are very loyal to the royal family and those whom the royal family endorses. They are not unlike that of humanity's elite strike forces, yet are conditioned to absorb any powerful blows and strikes from different fighting techniques and weapons. Unarmed, Tartalian warriors fight from a base of power, as their feet are as solid as concrete foundations. They employ throws, and strikes to compliment their immense amount of body strength. Warriors have many weapons at their disposal, ranging from their teeth and claws, to their powerful tails to aid them in unarmed combat. Weapon wise, they possess a great asset from their ability to crash Imperium technology: the fusion beam cannon. Due to the significant weight of such a weapon, the Tartalians can hold this weapon without any discomfort. Not unlike a human soldier and his rifle. These warriors are hardened, and ready to fight for their Princess and race at a moment's notice.
