Appearance:

Lina is a natural redhead, short, and some would say flat as a board. She has red eyes and is also rather skinny. She is usually smiling until she is ticked. Her outfit can be garish at first sight but she is a Sorceress and it is part of her appearance. She wears a black headband and big yellow earrings on her head. Around her neck is a red jewel clasp that holds her black cape upon her shoulders and on either shoulder is a pairor black mantles with red jewels.

Her torso is covered in a red and yellow shirt with a yellow bodysuit underneath. Her belt is another red jeweled clasp along with a regular leather belt around her waist. She wears red leggings and white boots. On her hands are elbow length pink gloves with red jeweled wrist clasps upon them. The red jewels at her neck, wrists, and waist are an item called the Demon's Blood Talismans that amplify Lina's magic when activated.
Lina's appearance partially changes should her most powerful spell fails. Her hair turns gold along with her eyes and she is surrounded in an golden aura.

Personality:

Lina Inverse is a girl with a hair trigger temper and lots of buttons that when pressed will cause her to go into a rage. Depending on the offender and offense, she could just simply slap you with a slipper all the way to dropping her most powerful black magic spell, Dragon Slave, on you and vaporizing a hundred feet or more of the area radius around you.

Lina is also slightly greedy and this can range from stealing a criminals valuables to using skills of a merchant she got from her family. This means she will pressure you to either sell to the lowest price or even give it to her for free. She is also rather rude when she eats and eat she will, a side effect of her magic use.
Lina though really does have a heart of gold though and will try to do the right thing generally. She also prefers to use cunning and persuasion to solve a problem as much as using her magic. That being said, her magic has a downside in one area. That is if she is pushed into the corner of nothing left to use but and uses her most powerful spell and it fails...
Say hello to the Lord of Nightmares, creator of existence itself. It neither cares for good or evil and in fact may have set everything up as a game for it to watch play out. It gets involved and depending on L-sama's mood; either the supposed target of the spell gets destroyed or all of creation, L-sama really does not care which. L-Sama will take over Lina's body and the transformation is drastic to say the least.

Powers/Abilities

• General Magic: Lina calls herself a Sorcery Genius and it is no joke. She is a master of Black Magic, which are spells that draw upon the dark side of human nature and even draws power from powerful Mazoku, the Demons of her world (one of her signature spells is noted seperately). She also knows some Shamanistic (Spells of the Elements and Astral, good against spirit beings if Astral). Lina also has a little White Magic at her disposal. She has even created her own spells, the most notable being her Giga Slave.
  
  
• Amplification Spell: Lina uses this to activate the four Demon's Blood Talismans to boost her capacity for spellcasting. This can be to either cast super powerful spells like the Zelas Bird, Zelas Phalanx, Ragna Blade, or even the Perfected Giga Slave. She can also use this to boost her other spells in power.

• Dragon Slave: The spell that draws upon the power of the Demon King of her world, Ruby Eye Shabranigdu. It was originally called Dragon Slayer but was corrupted over the thousand years since it's creation into Dragon Slave. This spell's effects are to create a sphere of annhilation upon the target with Ruby-Eye's power and destroys everything in a 100 foot radius from the target without amplification, with amplification it turns into a city killer. This is usually a spell most spellcasters fear as well as fearing anything that can survive it.

[/li][li] Ragna Blade: A spell that draws power from the Lord of Nightmares to create a sword of pure nothing able to cut through any barrier or protection. It manifests as a huge black and purple sword and can grow out to twenty or thirty feet to slash at the caster's command. It also requires the full concentration of the caster to work properly.

[/li][li]Giga Slave: Lina's spell of last resort, used only on the Unkillable and when everything else has failed. Created from chants she read in a Claire Bible Manuscript and combined with some of the Dragon Slave's chaos words. The first time Lina cast this, she was out for a day and the bay she cast it in became a sea of death that nothing lives in to this day and that was just the incomplete version. The complete version is uncastable WITHOUT the aid of the Demon's Blood Talismans by any being. Should it succeed, the target is utterly destroyed. Should it fail, Lina is possessed by the Lord of Nightmares and what happens next depends on L-Sama's whim, which could mean the target is destroyed up too the whole Universe biting it. Failure includes Lina being killed or interrupted in some other way during the casting.

The reason for this is that the Giga Slave IS the Lord of Nightmares. L-sama said it best itself, "My mind is my power. Power is my mind. When uncorrupted by other elements, my mind becomes my purest power."

Weaknesses/Physical Flaws/Psychological Flaws:

• Body Image: Lina has issues about how she looks. This can cause a myriad of reactions but if around a woman more mature looking than her, can cause Lina to feel very self-concious and not as confident about herself. Bringing it up is either going to make her just frown and stomp away or cause massive property damage.
  
  
• Hair Trigger Temper: She will hurt people for saying bad things about her. She will hurt them for saying something about her looks. She will hurt people for stealing her food. She even destroyed a whole village to kill a dragon for it stepping over her like she was a pile of (blank) and walking away from her. Lina has a temper that is beyond fiery redhead and this has earned her the reputation she has back home as The Enemy of All Who Live.
  
  
• Sister Issues: Mentioning her big sister Luna has been known to cause Lina to go into fits of complete fear that have included burying herself underground to get away and having a complete nervous breakdown. Considering this woman can summon an entity's power to destroy something akin to an Elder God, how bad must her sister be to scare her?
  
  
• Greedy: Lina can be greedy to the point of stealing villian's valuables or just making someone pay for her dinner. She will also expect to be paid for a job she's hired to do no matter what kind of destruction she has unleashed.
  
  
• Food: Lina loves food and needs to eat tons of food. She seriously could outeat Usagi in portion size. This is all for a good reason as Lina's spellcasting causes her to burn through calories like crazy.
  
  
• Human: In the end, Lina is a squishy Human and relies on her cunning and knowledge to make it through fights with the inhuman.
  
  
• Self-Centered: Lina tends to look out for herself first at times. She is not without doing something to help someone at times but she mostly prefers to do things for herself and by herself. This includes and is not limited to extorting money from terrified people to get a job done against something human or inhuman when she finds herself dealing with it all of the sudden.
  
  
• Ego/Reputation: Lina expects people to know her on sight sometimes and gets mad when they don't. More accurately, when they don't know the "Beautiful Sorcery Genius" and instead call her by the other titles she has. She is so certain of her ability to beat any foe it seems at times that some don't take her seriously. This could also be a ruse to hide the actual cunning she uses to win some fights or set up plans to win.
  

History:

Deep in the fogs of history, a being known as the Lord of Nightmares gave rise to four worlds. On each world was a Dragon God of Good and a Demon God of Evil. These two entities fought ferciously in each world. In one such world there existed the Flare Dragon Ceifeed as the force of good and Ruby Eye Shabranigdu for evil. They fought to the point of reshaping their world with a giant crater filled with water; the Demon's Sea with a small bit of land at it's center that the Shinzoku (Gods) and Mazoku (Demons) never set foot in. Ceifeed managed to divided Shabranigdu into seven seperate parts and incarnate them into humans in the hope that reincarnation would weaken Ruby Eye's power, but not before the creation of the Mazoku Retainers by Shabranigdu; Hellmaster Phibrizzo, Greater Beast Zelas Metallum, Chaos Dragon Gaav, Deep Sea Dolphin, and Dynast Grausherra. This cost Ceifeed his own power and he broke apart and became the four Dragon Lords; Aqualord Ragradia, Flarelord Vrabazard, Airlord Valwin, and Earthlord Rangort.

Centuries would pass till Hellmaster Phibrizzo located and managed to awaken a piece of Ruby Eye that was inside the powerful mage Lei Magnus, creator of the Dragon Slave and Blast Bomb spells. This event would start the Koma War, or War of the Monster's one thousand and sixteen years ago. This war was to destroy the Aqualord and it succeeded but not before the Aqualord sealed Lei Magnus-Shabranigdu in ice within the vaults of the earth and sealed Gaav's power in a human body in the hopes that the same hope Ceifeed had doing so with Ruby Eye would work on the Chaos Dragon. The remain thoughts and power of Ragradia would form the Claire Bible. The four remaining retainers would form the barrier that locked Lina's part of the world off from the rest.

Time would pass and enter a spunky redhead Sorceress with a penchant for destroying things at the drop of a hat! Lina Inverse left her home of Zephilia at the urging of her sister though she probably didn't need much urging as Lina had built a machine that projected images of her sister bathing and was selling them for people to watch.

In doing so, she started earning her reputation she ended up with; especially with bandits, brigands, highwaymen, and robbers when they started calling her "The Bandit Killer" and it was during this time she met her rival and friend Naga the White Serpent for a few off and on adventures.

She would split from Naga after a bit though and travel on her own. It was during one such adventure she met one of her friends, Gourry Gabriev. She had just got done unknowingly defeating a gang of bandits called The Dragon Fangs and helped herself to some of their treasure. Some of the members who were still standing after her attack didn't like that and wanted revenge, cue Gourry coming in and defeating the Bandits with his sword. They didn't immediately hit it off at first as Gourry; while a brilliant swordsman...is the definition of dense, obtuse, and stupid. They ended up further traveling together after Lina destroyed a whole village to kill a rampaging Black Dragon that was a pet to the leader of the Dragon Fangs.

Unfortuatnely, Lina grabbed something other powers were trying to get. In this case, it was a statue with a Philosopher's Stone inside it. It was being sought by Rezo the Red Priest because he wanted to open his eyes, having been blind since birth and no other means had worked. Unfortunately, his eyes were the seal upon a piece of Ruby Eye itself. After a long tough fight; Ruby Eye was defeated by the efforts of Lina, Gourry, and a former mystical swordsman Chimera who worked under the employ of Rezo named Zelgaddis Greysword.

Lina and Gourry would continue on without Zelgaddis and would meet Princess Amelia wil Tesla Seyruun and her father, Crown Prince Philionel. After helping them with a little thign over an attempt to take the throne of the White Magic Captical, Seyruun. There, a the two found out a bounty had been issued on their heads and this lead them to the city of Sairaag and a meeting with an old friend of Gourry, Sylphiel Res Nada; a specialist in White Magic. They would along the way get into battles with the swordsman Zangulus and the mage Varumagun.

The reason for the bounty became very clear as an old associate of Rezo wanted to kill Lina for killing Rezo and used his clone to try and do it. The clone had other ideas and sought to use Rezo's Legacy to awaken the Demon Beast Zanaffar, a being made of a material that no normal magic can't effect and is nearly immune to any normal weapons. They were able to kill it and the Rezo Clone using the Holy Sword left inside the great tree at the center of the city.

Lina would have a little peace till she entered the Kingdom of Zoana at the sametime Amelia was there to deliver words of peace and try to stop a war and Zelgaddis was there to see their secret magic book in the hopes of reversing his Chimeric state. War was averted...with the kingdom destroyed when the King and Princess Martina Zoana tried to use an ancient Golem armed with a magic cannon to attack Lina and it went out of control, making Lina use the Dragon Slave as no other spell could destroy the cannon due to what it was made from.

After a little bit of time from that event; Lina and company would meet Xellos, a supposedly roguish priest who kept his eyes closed and nearly everything is a secret. At the time, Lina and company were seeking what were called the Claire Bible Manuscripts, originally to help Zellgadis return back to Human. Xellos was as well but for a different reason, to destroy them. A return back to Seyruun would bring Lina into conflict with the Mazoku when they were behind a plot to take the throne hatched by Amelia's cousin Alfred.

Lina and friends were also embroiled in taking down a former Mage Guild Leader who sought Immortality and was granted it to an extent by a a pact with a Mazoku named Seigram.
It was during these events Lina managed to persuade Xellos to hand her the Demon's Blood Talismans as well as the knowledge of Ragna Blade from one of the manuscripts she found. It wasn't a complete knowledge though as a child had used it for a coloring book. Lina managed to defeat the two Mazoku who were moving to destroy Seyruun after killing Alfred through a loophole in their contract. But this would turn the quest from finding a cure for being a Chimera to finding a way to defeat the Mazoku and embroil Lina and friends in a war between Chaos Dragon Gaav and Hellmaster Phibrizzo unknowingly.

The quest would lead to many places and ruins than finally to a valley of Dragons where the actual Claire Bible itself was kept. Along the way, they would confront servants of Gaav and in the end Lina managed to confront Gaav and severely injure him after getting to view the Claire Bible and perfecting the Ragna Blade with the knowledge within. This knowledge also led to the perfection and the reason Lina will never use the Giga Slave except under extreme circumstances (again...needs to be unkillable by any other method).

Gaav was killed by the Hellmaster who than kidnapped Gourry to try and get Lina into a position to cast the Giga Slave. This lead everyone back to Sairaag, which had become a City of the Dead by Hellmaster's creation. The battle to try and stop Phibrizzo culminated in Lina having to cast the Giga Slave but it backfired in Hellmaster's face when the Lord of Nightmares did not take kindly to his actions it seems and literally bitchslapped him out of existence.

Hellmaster's defeat also broke the barrier and so within a few months, kingdoms inside were planning a naval expedition into what was being called The Outer World. Lina and Gourry would be in the city this flottilla was to be sailing from and find themselves in trouble again when a Golden Dragon attacked the port city. Lina supposedly beat the Dragon...and destroyed the city in the resulting Tsunami from an amplified Dragon Slave.

This would also launch Lina and gang into the Outer World and a new adventure to save the world once they met Filia Ul Copt, the Golden Dragon from the earlier attack and a High Priestess to the Flarelord; who used White/Holy Magic (a higher version of White Magic). They would also meet up with Xellos, setting off a long running bit of sexual tension between Filia and Xellos as Dragons and Mazoku hate each other on sight. The group would also get into confrontation with Valgaav, a former servant of Gaav and a hybrid of Mazoku and Ancient Dragon.

Valgaav was actually working for the being known as Almayce to seek out the five weapons of light, including Gourry's sword of light. The reason for this was actually to try and kill the being Dark Star Dugradigdu, an equal to Ruby Eye Shabranigdu from another world and while Valgaav wanted to use Dark Star to destroy the world; Almayce and his two companions Sirius and Erlogos wanted to destroy Dark Star as it went out of control completely.

They would all learn the reason Dark Star went out of control was because it and it's opposite, Night Dragon Vorfeed merged into a single being because they were tired of the endless fighting. The only way to stop this was in the end to use all five of the Weapons of Light, which were pieces of Dark Star actually; and fusing the magic that draws from the Gods with that that draws from the Mazoku. The resulting power destroyed the entity that had managed to worm itself into Lina's world and even gave Valgaav a new chance as a pure Ancient Dragon. Filia woudl also leave the temple due to it's involvement in the affairs of the genocide they had done to the Dragons. The Dark Star weapons would be returned with Sirius to their universe due to their power and connections.

Lina and Gourry would part company with Amelia and Zel for awhile with Lina and Gourry deciding to hunt Pirates after a bit as they made Bandits nearly extinct. They would reunite with Amelia and Zel and meet an agent from another country who was seeking Lina out. The reason for this was because in the country in question, they had made it a crime to be Lina Inverse. Part of the reason was that someone was going around and using Dragon Slaves to destroy places and considering this was Lina's modus operandi, they brought an army to arrest her.

They actually met the real reason for this in Pokota, an animated stuffed animal out to try and save his home as he was the Prince of a kingdom put to sleep by Rezo when a plague hit. Pokota and a warrior named Duclis were transfered into other forms so that they would still be alive they believed till a cure was found for the plague. What had ended up happening was Duclis joined with a noblewoman in the country in question and sought to avenge his nation when the other nations it seemed turned a blind eye to their suffering.

What had actually happened was the noblewoman took the relief for herself as money and sold whatever she couldn't use for more. She also funded a project to make something of both legend and horror...Zannafar. She sought to make armor and this had been the original intent with Sairaag. They even had a Claire Bible manuscript which also had Xellos involved. What happened next was a near repeat of the destruction of Sairaag and at least a few more other kingdoms by a newly reborn Demon Beast. Lina and company were able to stop it in Seyruun with a combination of a copycat Sword of Light and the Ragna Blade.

Disaster averted, Lina and gang agreed to help Pokota find a way to free and cure his people. One thing that was found was the possibility of the Hellmaster's Jar, a jar that allowed Soul-switching. This hint led to a search for one that ended up being led by an armor named Nana that Lina thought acted very familiar to someone she knew from a few years ago. They would find out Rezo had his own jar and sought it out to get some answers from the Red Priest.

They would eventually find Rezo's jar in the possession of a merchant who was actually a famous assassin named Zuuma that had been after Lina in the previous events and she had cut off his arms during that. He managed to replace his arms with the help of a contract with a pair of Mazoku who he later turned on and than killed his own son when his son found out who and what he really was. Lina and Xellos would in turn kill him and the jar would be theirs along with several truths.

One of them was devastating to Zelgaddis as Rezo revealed there was no cure for what Rezo himself had done to the man, turning him into a Chimera. Rezo also had really no intention of helping Pokota's people. But since he was awake and there was a cure, he awoke them and then helped till the cure arrived, using Pokota's original body. Rezo then revealed he had another reason for what he did to get a body. He wanted to see the world once more before finally being destroyed, a request he made of Lina as seal as well within the Hellmaster's Jar with Rezo was his awakened piece of Ruby-Eye Shabranigdu. The resulting battle led to much cargnage as the awakened Demon King's Ghost sought to destroy everything. Lina was left with no choice but to again use the Giga Slave.

Xellos himself said it best at the end of this; "You have destroyed the undestroyable one. Congratulations. You have truly earned the title of Slayers."

With the Apocalypse again averted, Lina and Gourry sought out to find Gourry a new sword. This would lead to a little peace and quiet till Lina awoke on Earth and while she doesn't know how yet, she knows a certain Mazoku Priest is involved somehow.

Lina bent over as she grabbed handfuls of gold coins, gems, and jewelry to stuff them into the magical pockets inside her robe. "Ah, another Bandit gang destroyed and the villages and country side saved. Good prevails again." She said before standing up as she got the last of the valuables that the bandits had gotten from robbing other folk. "Keep going Lina!" She put her hand in the air and made a V for victory sign before walking out of the treasure room for these bandits.

One of them still breathing and concious said, "Dammit you flat chested bitch thief! Who the hell do you think you are stealing what we stole!" Lina stopped and turned around at this and the bandit suddenly got very scared. "Flat chested bitch?" She started to laugh evily and than yelled. "FIREBALL!"

Outside could be seen another explosion as bandits flew into the air for the upteenth time that night. A passing merchant just shook his head and took a drink from his cup. "Guess The Bandit Killer got them."
