Appearance:
Taken from Wiki
- Sebastian takes on the appearance of a tall, male adult with black hair and red eyes. He typically dresses in an outfit that consists of black trousers, a tailcoat and a vest. He has the Phantomhive Crest on his shirt cuffs and tie. He also sports a pocket watch with a chain, and a chained silver lapel pin bearing the Phantomhive Crest, traditionally worn by the house's head butler.
His white gloves conceal the mark of his Faustian Contract with Ciel Phantomhive on his left hand. He occasionally removes these, revealing black fingernails. Sebastian's demonic form has never been fully shown. Details of this form include high-heeled stiletto boots, a shower of black feathers, sharp claws, glowing fuchsia irises, slitted pupils, and longer, sharper teeth. Prior to transforming, Sebastian says several times that his form is unpleasant to look at.
Ciel sports on two rings. One, which he wears on his left thumb, is an ornate silver piece, that holds an emerald-cut deep-blue stone; it is a one-of-a-kind family ring that has been passed down through his family for generations. The other is a gold seal, or signet, ring in the form of the Phantomhive family crest, worn on his right hand, and it is used to stamp the wax seal on documents. The seal was given to him by Angelina Durless after his return, telling him it is the only one left, as the other rings were destroyed in the fire.

Personality:
Taken from Wiki
- Sebastian is a dutiful and dedicated butler to Ciel Phantomhive. He follows each order faithfully, while always ensuring that the Phantomhive house runs smoothly. However, whenever Sebastian sees a cat, he ignores whatever Ciel says to him. As such, he is noticeably annoyed whenever they end up behind schedule. The way he responds to Ciel's demands is quite notable, as the servants are pleased when they can successfully imitate the way he says "Yes, my lord" to Ciel.
Despite his ability to appear like a perfectly normal human, especially one who is able to smile, be cheerful, and be understanding, Sebastian is, in actuality, quite heartless, sadistic, and malicious. This comes out when he attacks others on Ciel's orders, such as when he kicked Grell Sutcliff's face because it was the thing that Grell wanted the least damage to. It is also shown with his cruel sarcasm and his inability to see good in much of anyone. At times, Sebastian can be indifferent and deliberately delays Ciel's well-being, as he frequently teases him and has put his life in mild danger for his own amusement. Once, he responded to Ciel's kidnapping as "terrible" but only because the tea he prepared would go to waste. He also calls Ciel a "brat" who treats his workers rudely. However, despite all the troubles he goes through on a daily basis, he has said that he doesn't think it's such a bad way of living.
Sebastian often contemplates about the nature of human beings. He seems to find humans, in general, to be "difficult creatures," but he also states that their struggles and lofty goals make them "interesting." He is also intrigued about how "insatiable they are as they are willing to "drag others down to get what they want, even in death".
[/li][li]Ciel is a very strict and proud character, with a general cold outlook on life. As proud as he is, his main goal in life is for those who have betrayed the Phantomhive family to experience the same level of humiliation and suffering he did. He willingly chooses to fulfill his revenge, despite his aunt's insistence that he should pursue a happier life.
Ciel is extremely loyal to Queen Victoria, and aims to accomplish his given tasks. He is also punctilious on orders, and he expects Sebastian Michaelis, his butler, to complete them accordingly. Ciel often finds it entertaining to challenge Sebastian, whether in the areas of strength or skill. Nonetheless, he and Sebastian work together often, and only his butler seems to be aware and knowledgeable of Ciel's schemes and plans, in contrast to the other Phantomhive servants. Ciel is competitive, which he acknowledges. Sebastian has noted that Ciel is arrogant and overly confident in his skills to the extent that he has the viewpoint of 'there is no way I can ever lose'. Therefore, there are still some childish traits in Ciel that would need to be corrected by the adult he respects.

Abilities & Weaknesses:
Powers/Abilities:
- Demon: Sebastian, while he appears as a human; is indeed a demon. He is gifted with immense strength, power, and grace. He does not feel pain the same way as humans, though he certainly isn't immune to it or injury. He can do almost anything that he tries, especially when ordered by Ciel to do something. Should he fail to complete orders, which does happen on occasion, he is normally victim to being slapped and tongue-lashed by Ciel. Being a demon means he's aged as well, gifting him with much intellect, intelligence, experience, and ability to plan accordingly.
- Fuastian Contract: This is the contract which bind Sebastian to Ciel. The contract states that he will obey and follow Ciel, serve him faithfully until the day he achieves his revenge. Once that revenge is received, then he will devour Ciel's soul; and he has every intention to. This contract is both a strength and weakness, as he must obey Ciel's orders no matter how impossible they seem.
- True Form: In situations where he falls short of being able to succeed in his normal form, or if he simply becomes extremely irritated; Sebastian transforms into his true form. While in this form, his eye glow more pink than red, with slits for pupils like a cat's. His teeth become sharper, his fingers extend and become claws. There is a shower of black feathers about him during this form; which hides other characteristics of his form. While in demon form, pain becomes insignificant and easily ignored; his strength grows; as does his violence. He says so himself that it is a form which is unpleasant to see.
Weaknesses/Physical Flaws/Psychological Flaws:
- Sebastian's main weakness is how much he cares about his young master. He will go to any lengths to protect the unbelievably desirable soul which he is promised to devour in the future; and he will throw himself in any sort of danger to protect that soul. Sebastian also cares for Ciel, it is not only that he is obsessed with the soul. While he fully intends to devour the soul; he serves Ciel faithfully and willingly. He could terminate the contract at any time, but he chooses not to.
- One might consider his love of cats as a minor weakness. He often forgets or completely ignores Ciel's orders when faced with the adorable felines; though Sebastian never loses sight of the more important goal of keeping Ciel alive.
Powers/Abilities:
- Fuastian Contract: This is Ciel's only real power or ability. Through this contract with Sebastain, he is able to do the impossible; by setting Sebastian on the task. Ciel's orders must be followed by Sebastian, as stated by the terms. Sebastian will not allow Ciel to become mortally injured or die, because he wants the soul more than anything else; and he will only get the soul if Ciel achieves his goals of revenge first.
Weaknesses/Physical Flaws/Psychological Flaws:
- Ciel is human, and only 13 at that. He is a child at heart, and victim to childish impulses and human weaknesses.
- He is an arrogant bastard. One might consider him spoiled because he has full control over his demonic butler. He feels he can do anything he wants with Sebastian serving him, and he hates to lose any sort of "game" or battle.
- He is obsessed with his goals for revenge upon whoever killed his parents. He will go to any lengths to achieve that goal; no matter how much danger he throws himself in. His faith is Sebastian's protection also plays into the matter.
History:
Taken from Wiki
- Sebastian's real home is in an alternate world, but it is quite different from the human world. In particular, he has mentioned that the creatures kept as pets there are in no way comparable to cats. It is also indicated that Sebastian has been alive for at least one hundred years, possibly much longer; Sebastian has briefly mentioned that he met an ancient Egyptian mummy when it was alive, identified by Sebastian as Smenkhkare who reigned about three thousand years ago. He has also claimed to be responsible for the spread of the Black Death that occurred five hundred years prior. In short, he muses that Ciel's life in comparison would feel like an instant.
Sebastian states that, in the past, he engaged in "messily sampling every dish available," and has since resorted to only consuming "high-quality" souls. As a result, he is apparently starving, but claims that the "dinner" will be that much better the hungrier he is.
Three years before (Ciel was 10 years old), he was summoned to Ciel Phantomhive after the latter was about to be sacrificed in an occult ritual. After forming the contract with Ciel and placing the seal of the contract on his eye, Ciel orders him to slay his abductors. It is implied that Sebastian will take the role of Ciel's butler until Ciel has completed his personal mission of revenge - that is the substance of their contract. Sebastian's job is to serve Ciel, doing everything from the mundane task of serving tea to protecting Ciel from certain death, until Ciel's goal is complete. In return, Sebastian will receive Ciel's soul when said goal is completed. Sebastian is then given the name "Sebastian" by Ciel for the duration of his duties as Ciel's butler.
After killing the cultist that tried to sacrifice Ciel, they went to the Royal London Hospital to meet with Ciel's aunt, Angelina Durless. There, he meets Tanaka who gives him a watch that had been passed down from one Phantomhive butler to the next. After that, Angelina arranged for a carriage to bring them to the ruins of the Phantomhive manor. While Ciel was mourning his parents, Sebastian reconstructs the manor.
Ciel and Sebastian then begin daily life. He teaches Ciel the fundamentals of an Earl, and Ciel teaches him how to be a butler. He later attends Ciel's coronation as the Earl of Phantomhive.
[/li][li]Ciel was a regular child in the past who maintained a cheerful disposition. Although this is true, as a child, he suffered greatly from poor health. He was seen having an asthma attack in volume 7. He would often smile and play with his family and Elizabeth. Elizabeth said that when his parents were alive, the Phantomhive manor was full of smiles.
On his tenth birthday, he was running through the manor and came across his dead mother, father, and dog. He calls for help, and runs into Tanaka, who tries to get him to flee. Before he can say much, however, he is attacked from behind from an unseen assailant who then grabs Ciel.
Ciel was then sold, and his kidnappers comment that he is "rare" and is worth more than two people. Someone buys him, and his new owners brand him, giving him the mark of a "noble beast". He cries, saying that he's hurt and dirty and he wants to go home. He is next seen chained in a cage while masked adults look on, remarking about what a splendid evening they will have. Ciel sadly wonders why no one is there to help him. One of the masked adults then places him on a table for his sacrifice and he is stabbed, while other adults look on gleefully, clapping.
Sebastian is summoned to him, although how is not shown. He appears in his true demon form. He tells Ciel that what has been sacrificed will never return. He asks Ciel if he wants to make a contract and have his wishes granted or not. Ciel says that he wants power to take revenge on those who did this to him. The ones who tried to sacrifice him try to stop him from talking, but Ciel agrees to make a contract. Sebastian asks him where he wants his seal, saying that the more visible it is, the stronger the contract is. Ciel tells him that anywhere is fine and that he want's a power stronger that anyone else's. Sebastian calls him greedy and decides to put it on his right eye. Ciel screams, then commands him to kill his attackers. He then burns the building. Ciel orders Sebastian to protect and never betray him, to obey his orders no matter what, and to never lie.
After that, the first place they go is to the Royal Hospital where his aunt worked. She arranges for a carriage to bring him back to his manor. He and Sebastian view the ruined manor, then go to his and his parents' graves. Sebastian leaves briefly and when Ciel returns, the manor is as good as new. Ciel later takes his place as the Earl of Phantomhive and the Watchdog of the Queen.

RP Sample:
It was all rather quiet around the Phantomhive Mansion, the servants were only just starting to begin their daily routines. It was early morning, and even the hellhound; Pluto; which served as a pet, was lounging about in the early morning sunlight in the front courtyard. The silence of course, wouldn't last long. Yells of shock seemed to explode in the kitchen, echoing throughout the lower floors of the impressive structure in stations not far from London in Great Britian. One male voice was trying to apologize for a fault that was his, and smoke was billowing out of the kitchen. A shrill female voice rose up; rebuking the man for bringing out the unnecessary blowtorch tool. A third voice was a bit high pitched with worry as he conversed with another voice. The fourth one to speak had an air of authority about it. "Really, Bardroy..." He sighed. "This is why I don't ask you to help me prepare the young master's breakfast." There was a pause as Bardroy continued to stutter out apologies. "Just clean this up, you three..." Said the fourth voice, and a black clothed male left the smoldering kitchen. He was tall and dressed in a tailcoat, crimson eyes were glittering with slight irritation.
He started up the stairs of the manor, carrying a silver platter with a cup and pitcher upon it; earl grey tea waiting to be served. He soon arrived at his destination, just as a nearby clock struck 7. and raised a hand to knock lightly upon the highly polished door with the back of his knuckles. "Young master, I bring your tea." He called softly, opening the door and walking into the impressive master bedroom. He set the platter on the table next to the bed, and proceeded to open the curtains on the many windows. Someone stirred in the bed, and a sleepy voice spoke.
"Trouble in the kitchen?" The butler nodded as he returned to the bedside. "Was that what woke you, master?" The boy sat up in bed, rubbing his eyes for a moment before saying in a irritable tone; "How is one supposed to sleep through that racket?" The black haired man bowed before turning to retrieve a fresh set of day clothes from the closet. "I shall speak with him again, my lord. I apologize for the rude awakening on his behalf."
The butler began to help the boy get dressed; handing over the cup of tea before he knelt to lace up the child's boots. "Sebastian, has there been any word from the Queen?" Finishing up with the boots, Sebastian straightened up; and pulled an official-looking looking letter from an inside pocket of his tailcoat. It was complete with the royal seal, and addressed to one Ciel, Earl Phantomhive. "Indeed. my lord. The messenger said that it was an urgent matter." Ciel took the letter and broke the seal; pulling out the fancy parchment within and starting to read. "Interesting..." He murmured under his breath after a short moment, and held out the letter to Sebastian. Sebastian took much less time to read the message, and looked up when he finished with a frown. "Off-worlders..." He said, pondering over the words which had been stated in the letter.
Ciel took the paper back and tucked it into a pocket before turning back to Sebastian. "Prepare transportation to this New Masada Island in the Pacific, I want to be on a plane within the next two hours, if possible." Sebastian bowed again, his right hand resting on his chest. "Consider it done,my lord." Then he turned and left the bedchamber. Ciel remained in his room, finishing off his tea, before starting to head downstairs to inspect the kitchen himself.
Creator/Player Comments:
- Both characters will be roleplayed in any post on this account.
- These two will be roleplayed as they were in Season One of Black Butler.
- Due to the time period of this site roleplay, there should be no queen. I will be pushing all dates of the history forward some to match the time period here. Queen Victoria is alive and rules England, and Ciel is her loyal guard dog as he was in the anime.
