It was a clear, sunny, hot day on New Masada Island. Quiet, however, did not apply to the scene. People were going about their daily business, with teaching the academy students and coordinating the Alliance's mountain of paperwork, which led to several couriers and gophers running around like crazed ants fetching coffee and delivering memos. A plane only added to the noise. The private jet had come all the way from London. Inside that plane, the orange-haired Substitute Shinigami, Ichigo Kurosaki, let out a sigh of relief. No random Hollow attacks plagued the remainder of his flight. He had remained in Bankai for nothing. Stepping into his body, he straightened up in the chair that said body had been slumped in. When the plane landed and the aircraft came to a stop, Ichigo was the first one out and on the gate. Capable though his passengers might be, he didn't think Sebastian was ready for a small, but trained, force of high-school pranksters. There were a crowd of students around the gate. They had seen the plane land and were expecting a new student along with Ichigo. Strangely, any students holding any variety of pie dispersed from the scene when Ichigo took hold of a wooden daito sparring weapon that had been left for him near the gate. Yep. They know better. Ichigo turned back down the hallway, facing the other passengers from the plane. "So, welcome to New Masada. I hope you like the heat, otherwise life here is gonna be rough. There ought to be someone else from the academy coming to help me with the grand tour."

Ciel was quite happy when the plane finally landed. This eventful flight really hadn't been a great first time on a plane. When the shuddering piece of machinery finally came to a halt; he watched in a rather bored way as Ichigo returned to his body and then left the compartment. He sighed as he took the walking stick held out by his capable butler, and then rose unsteadily to his feet. He certainly wasn't flying on another plane anytime soon. Sebastian, on the other hand, had rather enjoyed the flight. He'd been been given the chance to gain quite a bit of knowledge about unfamiliar Reapers and strange soul beings. The crimson gaze was quite amused as he trailed after Ciel to enter the boarding ramp of the gate; or in this case, un-boarding. No matter how he tried to hide it, Ciel really was just another 13 year old child with a known name back in London.
Once they emerged behind Ichigo, there were quite a few confused looks. Someone as young as Ciel had obviously not been what they were expecting. And of course... A 6'1" man with red eyes standing at the child's shoulder like some sort of bodyguard hadn't been expected either. Sebastian's eye followed the youth who were carrying pies as they hurriedly left the scene; making a detailed mental record of how they looked and their physical characteristics, how they acted, and of course... Something only a demon would notice, their scents. He'd have no trouble tracking them down in the need arose. Standing at the top of the stairs which led down to a path, he looked down upon those who were gathered in vague interest; while Ciel fixed his eyes on Ichigo. "The heat will be no problem." He said, shrugging off his travel coat which was indeed getting quite warm. Sebastian took the coat without a word and hung it over his right arm without looking away from the crowd below. There was an eerie silence which had set upon the whispering onlookers as he had emerged, and most of them looked quite interested in the new arrivals.

Post by Tsukino Usagi on Jul 29, 2012 13:38:25 GMT -5
As much as she enjoyed the life she had made for herself in Tokyo, there were some days when Usagi just needed to get away. In fact, the past week had been several of those days. She had some vacation time saved up, and it was relatively simple to convince one of the other girls to fill in for her. In Usagi's opinion, she was more than due for a little rest and relaxation. In other words, she'd decided to come to New Masada Island and lounge around on the beach for the better part of that time. Given that the island's climate was always warm and bright, Usagi could think of no better place to spend her time. And so, she had packed up a week's worth of clothing (bikinis included) and headed off to sunny, sunny New Masada. It wasn't as though she had to worry about some emergency suddenly popping up. And if she was needed, she had her iPhone with her, so it wasn't like she was dropping off the face of the Earth.
Usagi had on a neon pink bikini, under a sundress in the exact same hue. On her feet, a pair of sandals, as comfort was the name of the game. Her hair, as per usual, was in its usual style. Perhaps some day she'd reconsider getting it cut, but for now, she left it alone. Of course, all of her time hadn't been spent on the beach. She'd been in and out of the school at various points when she was hungry enough, as she hadn't felt like carrying food around all day. It was during one of her snack breaks that she had caught wind of a new student's arrival. Well, Usagi was as friendly as the next person (alright, she was friendlier than most would consider normal), and so she figured she would head on over and wait for this new arrival.
The tsuki no senshi was loitering amongst those gathered as the jet made its landing. Smiling, she took a bite of the bun in her hand as she watched for the departures. Usagi recognized the first man to get out, though she couldn't quite recall whether she'd actually met him, or if she'd just seen him around. But it was the people filing out after Ichigo that caught her attention. She definitely didn't recognize either of those two, and it took little imagination to work out which of the two was the new student. But then, who was the other guy? If she squinted, he almost reminded her of Mamoru, but possibly it was the fact that both men were remarkably tall and had dark hair.
Deciding to get right down to it, Usagi made her approach, calling out a greeting as she did so. "Hiyo! I hope you had a nice flight! Welcome to New Masada Island~" she called out to the three of them.

Ichigo raised a hand in greeting as he spotted Usagi, also known as Sailor Moon, and another major member of the Alliance, in the crowd. "Yo. Would you care to help me show our guests around? They're the people that the Queen sent. Y'know, the Phantomhive kid and his butler, that we all got that memo about?" Ichigo sighed, smiling a bit. Then he started walking towards the academy proper, pointing towards the dormitory.
"Hate to break it to ya, Lord Phantomhive, but unless someone threw something together while I was out, you'll be rooming there until further notice. If you run into any more Hollows here, since they do get brave enough on occasion, try to avoid too much property damage? Also, the students here, some of them are Fullbringers, spiritually aware and combat capable humans. They'll probably notice the Hollow and come running, so try to let them get a little practice."
Of course, Ichigo's warning had a bit more meaning than that. Hopefully the kid was bright enough to pick it up. Keep that contract symbol under wraps! Not every student here would take so kindly to someone having sold his soul, and Ichigo doubted his students' abilities to take on that butler. A stern look directly at Ciel attempted to convey this message: "You keep that demon off my students or I'll serve his head to you on a silver plate. Not that he had any enmity towards the young noble, but he did have a measure of responsibility for his students' safety, and it meant a hell of a lot more to Ichigo than Ciel's little secret.

Ciel looked down on the girl in the pink, raising his eyebrows slightly. Who exactly was that? And she seemed more like a tourist on a beach bum vacation, rather than part of some movement to defend the world from aliens. Sebastian was thinking along the same lines, but bowed in greeting all the same to her. Ciel offered a rather forced smile, before turning back to Ichigo. It looked as if he knew her. Most of the onlookers simply looked confused at the mention of the Queen. They obviously didn't know the details of the new arrivals. Well, that was fine with them both. They followed Ichigo toward the dorm building, and Ciel looked rather unimpressed. So he'd be housing in the same area as these students? When would the Alliance realize that he wasn't here to train or learn from them? He was here on strict orders to fight and protect; age was irrelevant. Sebastian leaned over to whisper in Ciel's ear, noticing his irritation with the news. "I will take care of it; young master. Your room will be identical to your study back home within the hour." Ciel relaxed and nodded his thanks.
When Ichigo mentioned the Hollows, Ciel simply rolled his eyes. He was in no danger from them; the only protection he needed was from his butler. "I won't bother with those foolish creatures, unless they come straight into my room. Sebastian prefers to not waste his skills upon inferior scum." The butler smiled again, a sneer really. So true... Nothing here was really worth his time. He would only be fighting if the beasts came straight in at Ciel. Then he'd send them to hell, where they belonged. Property damage wouldn't be a problem. There were other, cleaner ways to get rid of the things than throwing an airplane at them. He'd seen how Ichigo had delivered the fatal blow to the one at the airport, and he had a vague idea of how he could do something similar. There was no guarantee that the idea would work, however; so he would simply carry his master as bait and lead the things toward their doom if necessary. If they were as attracted to Ciel's soul as Ichigo had said, then they would follow quite quickly.
Ciel had indeed picked up on the warning, and he hissed a reply to Ichigo which only he and Sebastian would be able to hear. "Have you forgotten what I said on the plane already? I told you that if you passed on the secret to anyone without speaking to us first, Sebastian would be coming for you. So why the hell do you think I'd even bother telling these students of yours about it? Listen closely, Reaper..." His voice sounded dark with the level of seriousness. "Very few know of the contract. It is a secret between us two and you. No one else, under any circumstances, is to be informed of the details unless I pass them on myself. I don't care if it's just a favorite student of yours, or the leader of this entire Alliance. If you so much a hint at the secret; you'll have a demon out for your blood, if you even have any, at least." He had been hoping to not be forced to threaten Ichigo again; but his tolerance level was at breaking point. He suddenly smiled coldly at the final part of the warning; and his own glare was a returning challenge that passed on the nonverbal message quite clearly. "I wish you luck with that... Sebastian's head won't be coming off easy... But we have no interest in raining hell down upon your trainees. We will treat them as they treat us. Respect will be met with respect, hostility will be met with hostility."
Of course the demon had also picked up on Ichigo's warnings. His smile had become amused again. If that was a challenge, it was accepted. He would look forward to the day he faced off with this strange Reaper, if that day indeed came. He would make it an interesting battle, and had every intention of coming out on top. Especially if Ciel ordered him to win... Then there would be no hope for Ichigo; unless he somehow figured out a way to kill a demon so that it stayed dead. It seemed that the Reaper knew next to nothing of demons... So he was in for a rather nasty surprise. But for now, there was no hostility between himself or Ichigo, so he allowed that challenging glare from Ciel speak for him in response to Ichigo.
ooc:Sorry about the crappy post. -_- I'm really tired so I just threw something together.

Grinning, Usa returned the wave and shifted her gaze toward Ciel and his butler as Ichigo posed his question. Oh, so this was that boy they'd all heard about. He looked rather young, but who was she to judge someone based on appearances? Shrugging it off, she simply smiled and nodded. "Hai! I'd love to help you give the tour~" Usagi agreed. It probably wasn't going to be the most exciting thing she'd do on vacation, but it would absolutely serve as a bit of a distraction from her current doldrums. Besides, she did love helping people out. And it would give her something to talk about with Minako, assuming the other blond ever got in touch in the near future.
She didn't know what kind of lord this kid was, but the prospect of meeting real nobility was exciting. Alright, so technically, she had almost been a Queen, but now was hardly the place to be thinking of things like that. She had a job to do, and she couldn't do it if she was allowing herself to dwell on the past. As they all walked, she did her level best to overhear their conversation, but most of it just went right over her head. Granted, she knew that the students, as well as the other adults on this island all had their own special situations, but she really had no idea what Ichigo was going on about. And so, she focused her attention on what she knew about the island itself, and the campus where the tiny lord would be staying. Ooh, this was going to be so much fun!

Ichigo sighed. Thankfully, Usagi wasn't in on the warning that Ciel gave. At any rate, he dropped a small coin, bending down to pick it up so that he would be able to talk to Ciel without Tsukino overhearing. In a low whisper, he said, "You didn't get my meaning. I felt that aura coming off of Sebastian. I sure as hell don't think he can hide it very well if the Gates open up anywhere near him. It's a rare Hollow that opens the things, but it happens. I want you to keep him far, far away from any Hollows. Better safe than sorry. Play the helpless victim and get him away from them if you're on campus, no matter who it goes for: We can handle them just fine."
Ichigo straightened up and continued walking. "I hope you don't mind, but I think I'll be staying with you for a while, Tsukino. My class doesn't start for a while, and I'd like to see what happens when a London kid starts drying out in the tropical heat." He stopped at a vending machine and took out a few coins, purchasing four bottles of water and handing the extra three to Tsukino, Ciel, and Sebastian before taking his own drink. "As good as tea is, water is better during the day, especially in this heat. A lot of people don't know that or don't care. Believe me, I've seen enough dehydrated kids to last a long time, but I can't teach swordsmanship indoors." He had a small flashback of a hole in the side of a classroom, put there when one of his students had pushed him too hard. The poor guy had gotten caught in a palm tree with a spider the size of a schedule book taking a keen interest in him. All in all, it hadn't been a good day for anyone.
