It was all rather quiet around the Phantomhive Mansion, the servants were only just starting to begin their daily routines. It was early morning, and even the hell hound; Pluto; which served as a pet, was lounging about in the early morning sunlight in the front courtyard. The silence of course, wouldn't last long. Yells of shock seemed to explode in the kitchen, echoing throughout the lower floors of the impressive structure in stations not far from London in Great Britain. One male voice was trying to apologize for a fault that was his, and smoke was billowing out of the kitchen. A shrill female voice rose up; rebuking the man for bringing out the unnecessary blowtorch tool. A third voice was a bit high pitched with worry as he conversed with another voice. The fourth one to speak had an air of authority about it. "Really, Bardroy..." He sighed. "This is why I don't ask you to help me prepare the young master's breakfast." There was a pause as Bardroy continued to stutter out apologies. "Just clean this up, you three..." Said the fourth voice, and a black clothed male left the smoldering kitchen. He was tall and dressed in a tailcoat, crimson eyes were glittering with slight irritation.
He started up the stairs of the manor, carrying a silver platter with a cup and pitcher upon it; earl grey tea waiting to be served. He soon arrived at his destination, just as a nearby clock struck 7. and raised a hand to knock lightly upon the highly polished door with the back of his knuckles. "Young master, I bring your tea." He called softly, opening the door and walking into the impressive master bedroom. He set the platter on the table next to the bed, and proceeded to open the curtains on the many windows. Someone stirred in the bed, and a sleepy voice spoke. "Trouble in the kitchen?" The butler nodded as he returned to the bedside. "Was that what woke you, master?" The boy sat up in bed, rubbing his eyes for a moment before saying in a irritable tone; "How is one supposed to sleep through that racket?" The black haired man bowed before turning to retrieve a fresh set of day clothes from the closet. "I shall speak with him again, my lord. I apologize for the rude awakening on his behalf."
The butler began to help the boy get dressed; handing over the cup of tea before he knelt to lace up the child's boots. "Sebastian, has there been any word from the Queen?" Finishing up with the boots, Sebastian straightened up; and pulled an official-looking looking letter from an inside pocket of his tailcoat. It was complete with the royal seal, and addressed to one Ciel, Earl Phantomhive. "Indeed. my lord. The messenger said that it was an urgent matter." Ciel took the letter and broke the seal; pulling out the fancy parchment within and starting to read. "Interesting..." He murmured under his breath after a short moment, and held out the letter to Sebastian. Sebastian took much less time to read the message, and looked up when he finished with a frown. "Off-worlders..." He said, pondering over the words which had been stated in the letter.
Ciel took the paper back and tucked it into a pocket before turning back to Sebastian. "Prepare transportation to this New Masada Island in the Pacific, I want to be on a plane within the next two hours, if possible." Sebastian bowed again, his right hand resting on his chest. "Consider it done,my lord." Then he turned and left the bedchamber. Ciel remained in his room, finishing off his tea, before starting to head downstairs to inspect the kitchen himself. Sebastian picked up the tray, pitcher, and teacup; then swiftly went to the nearest phone. He was on it for about 3 minutes, then turned and followed behind his master. Once they entered the kitchen, he dumped the platter and its burden into the sink; before turning to the only female servant. "Mayrin, please clean these up. I have work to attend to." Mayrin nodded and ran over to the sink; while Sebastian shot a stern look at the other two who were trying to restore the kitchen to its former grande state in vain. Sebastian sighed. "Bardroy, Finnian; leave the kitchen for later. Meanwhile, the courtyard needs work." The two servants bowed to him; and then to Ciel who was looking at the kitchen with his mouth hanging open. Then they scurried out of the room toward the courtyard.
"I didn't think it was this bad..." Ciel practically hissed. "What the devil were they doing?!" Sebastian smiled in sympathy and shook his head. "Trying to prepare you some breakfast, young master..." Ciel opened his mouth, no doubt to say something scathing in return; but Sebastian continued. "I have done as you ordered, my lord. There is a private jet awaiting us at the London airport; and a carriage is ready outside to take us there. The jet will leave as soon as we're on board; we shall arrive on Masada island around lunch time." Ciel looked quite shocked, not having expected him to already have made arrangements. He proceeded to the front door, and the butler followed; pulling Ciel's travel coat from the hanger and helping him put it on. Finally, he handed Ciel his favorite walking stick; and the pair walked outside. Bardroy and Finnian looked up at them fearfully. "We will be gone for an undetermined amount of time." Sebastian said in a firm voice. "I expect the mansion to look spotless and perfect when we return." The two men started, but nodded without a word.
It wasn't long before Ciel and Sebastian were pulling up outside the rather shabby-looking airport. Sebastian handed off the horses' reins and payed the stable boy for them to be lodged, fed, and watered for two months. Once the horses and carriage were led away, the two proceeded into the building; Ciel looking around rather curiously as they did so. He had never been in such a place before; airplanes were new to him, he'd never ridden one before. While the prospect of being suspended in the air with nothing but a machine between him and certain death; he felt perfectly safe with Sebastian at his side. He knew that the butler wouldn't allow him to die in a plane accident if there was one; because their contract continued to hold strong. "Sebastian, what do you think of this 'Great Alliance' that the Queen mentioned?" Sebastian led the way toward the private hanger at a swift pace as he replied. "I think that if the Queen trusts them, we can as well. But nevertheless, young master, I will be keeping a close eye upon every one of the members we meet..." Ciel nodded and fell silent.

Ichigo was in a bit of a rush as he left the airport. He had some business in London. Apparantly, someone named Ciel was being sent to possibly join the Great Alliance, and it just so happened to fall to Ichigo to greet this person. However, plans of this manner were cut short when his Substitute Shinigami badge began flashing in a manner that attracted the attention of a couple spiritually aware humans who then dismissed it as a pager. Removing a gikongan from his pocket, he popped the artificial soul into his mouth. This was a rather generic soul who, strangely enough, was mute. Ichigo, now in his Death God form and seriously attracting some stares from the handful of spiritually-aware humans in the airport, stayed just long enough to give the artificial soul these instructions: "Hey, you, get the luggage with my name in orange on the tags and wait for me at the claim, will ya?"
Ichigo was only a few short Shunpos away from the front of the airport. Opening the door, he stepped through and looked around before seeing the Hollow that had caused his badge to light up. It was a rather large thing, sitting in the parking lot for a moment. Who knew what it had been doing or when it got there, but the moment it laid eyes on the Substitute Shinigami, it bellowed. "SHINIGAMI! YOU CAN'T KEEP ME FROM MY MEAL!" Its voice seemed to reverberate from the volume. Anyone spiritually aware within a mile would have heard it. Ichigo sized up the Hollow. It seemed about twice as big as a semi truck, with a large hole in its chest. Ichigo then realized that someone with an eyepatch and a butler had mentioned the Great Alliance. Interesting.
"Hey, you! You wouldn't happen to be the guys that want to join up with the Alliance, would you? Ciel and Sebastian? If so..." Ichigo grabbed Zangetsu off his back, the bandages covering the blade unraveling as he pointed the sword at the Hollow, continuing on with his sentence; "Consider him your entrance exam. I'm Ichigo Kurosaki, swordsmanship instructor and co-founder of the Alliance."
((OOC NOTES: Feel free to NPC the Hollow, who is extremely upset and a creature of primal instinct and a hunger for souls.))

[/style][style=width: 325px; font-family: georgia; font-size: 15px; color : #hexcode; margin-top: -50px;]Come now... If I couldn't do this much, [/color][/div] What sort of a butler would I be? [/color][/div]
Sebastian had a sense of foreboding ever since setting foot in the airport; but he'd chosen to keep it to himself. But now, the sense had grown stronger; and he halted in his steps; crimson eyes shifting over to the entrance of the airport. This movement didn't escape Ciel's notice, of course; and the boy turned to face his butler with a stern look in his single visible eye. "Sebastian..." He started to say, but suddenly clapped his hands over his ears. Sebastian couldn't blame him; that screech had been quite loud... And came from outside. But before he could do or say anything, a strange person ran up to them. He was both dressed strangely, and looked rather non-human. Sebastian tore his gaze away the entrance to look curiously at the newcomer, eyebrows raised. He knew this scent and appearance. It reminded him of the Reapers...
At his words, Ciel's eye widened in a mixture of disbelief and irritation. "Entrance Exam? If you are that high up in the Alliance, then you will know we were ordered to join by the Queen of England. I don't think an 'entrance exam' comes into play there." He said rather rudely, his eyes fixed fearlessly on the sword this Ichigo man was holding. Of course, he was only fearless because Sebastian was there. Sebastian, on the other hand, took a step forward to place himself between Ciel and Ichigo. He bowed for a moment, and spoke in a soft voice. "An Alliance leader? It is an honor to meet you. We are indeed who you guessed, and I apologize for my Master's thoughtless words." He straightened up, ignoring the furious look Ciel was giving him. "Of course we shall take this exam." The boy started to speak again. "Sebastian, what...?" But the butler interrupted as he turned to face his lord. "I understand that you don't appreciate being ordered around due to your own high status, young master; but we must submit to those above us in the Alliance if we are to work with them."
Ciel glared for a moment, apparently trying to find something to say in retaliation. But after a moment in which the beast outside screeched again, he gave a forced sigh. "Very well..." He muttered to them both. Sebastian raised an eyebrow, and a smile flickered over his features. Ciel knew at once what he was waiting for. He reached up to the right side of his face; and flipped the eye patch up. The eye opened in a moment, and the purple glow of the Faustian Contract symbol seemed to intensify. "Sebastian, this is an order." He said firmly in an authoritative voice. "Destroy that unsightly beast, without harming bystanders." Sebastian sunk to the floor in a kneel; his right hand resting on his chest. The voice was almost a purr as he spoke, and the red eyes took on a pink color with slits for pupils. "Yes, my lord..." He stood up and turned to the door, the eyes flickering back and forth between the pink and deep crimson. He strode to the entrance, Ciel followed with one final look at Ichgio as he pulled the patch back down to hide his eye.
The moment they were outside, Sebastian's gaze zeroed in on the beast. It was large, and he considered using a mass of kitchen cutlery to rapidly butcher it. But something told him that might now be enough... He could feel his demonic power surging through his veins as the eyes traveled over to fix on a medium-sized passenger plane nearby which had only just unloaded its passengers. He seemed to blur into a flash of black as he streaked to the plane, landing on top of the cockpit as he gazed in on the rather shocked pilot and co-pilot. In a moment, the windows had been torn clean off the plane; and he smiled pleasantly at the two within. "Forgive me, but I must ask you to abandon this plane; good Sirs... It is to save countless lives." Their eyes widened as he suddenly reached in; grabbing them both by their collars in either hand. He pulled them through the windowless openings and lowered them gently to the ground; where they instantly fled to the airport itself.
Sebastian dropped to the ground himself, and moved over to stand under a wing. He reached up to grasp the said wing; and everything happened quite fast afterward. The plane was lifted from the ground and spun in the air three times; before it was hurled with deadly accuracy at the monster rampaging in the parking lot. There was a huge explosion as fire erupted around both plane and beast as the fuel tanks broke; and were set aflame by the friction of impact. Black smoke billowed into the sky above. There was a drawn out shriek from the beast as the fire raged for a few minutes, then began to die down. It had all happened within a short amount of time, and the butler had already returned to stand by Ichigo and Ciel. The boy was obviously unimpressed, though the explosion had certainly made him reluctant to board one of the flying machines now. Sebastian maintained his firm posture, however; his eyes fixed on the smoldering remains. He had no idea what that creature had been; and he had no way of knowing if an explosion was enough to destroy it.
ooc: Up to you if the thing survived or not. I don't want you to be denied some of the rush of battle. XD

Ichigo stood and had to choke back a retort at Ciel's indignation. Clearly the boy didn't get how things worked in a group of superheroes and similar entities. Can't have people who can't defend themselves somehow, and against tougher things than a Hollow that hasn't even made Menos class yet. Surprisingly, this Sebastian was every bit as polite as Ciel was offended. Ichigo nodded. He had expected more resistance to his test. Of course, he also expected to be conducting said test himself instead of watching them attack a Hollow. Ichigo was intrigued at the child's autoritative voice, and even more so with the kid's eye. As the butler left, Ichigo just stared at Ciel. He had no idea what to expect from this point on, and he had expected a little more effort on the part of the boy.
Enough seconds passed to where Ichigo opened his mouth to ask what the hell Ciel and Sebastian were waiting for when an airplane flew end over end toward the Hollow, striking it in the chest and causing a massive explosion. As the smoke cleared and Sebastian returned to Ciel's side, Ichigo sighed, seeing that the Hollow was still conscious. "I'll have some questions for you in a minute, and I'm sure you'll have some for me. Just wait here, alright, kid? And, nice work, Sebastian, but a little heavy on the property damage."
Ichigo walked calmly over to the Hollow, which seemed to be either unconscious or extremely dazed, sprawled across the ground. Ichigo slid his grip on Zangetsu down off the hilt and onto the cloth that had previously wrapped the blade. Ichigo held his arm to the side and began spinning Zangetsu at high speeds, causing his Shinigami robes to blow in the wind created by the disturbance. Zangetsu began to glow with bright blue energy as Ichigo channeled his spirit power into the blade. After all, what was the point of finishing this thing off if he couldn't show off a bit. Ichigo grabbed Zangetsu's hilt with his right hand, continuing the spinning motion before holding the blade straight up. "GETSUGA TENSHO!" As Ichigo sliced down, his sword cut through the Hollow's mask as the energy he had charged into the blade shot out in a large crescent, slicing the rest of the creature in half. The Hollow slowly dissolved into several black particles of spirit energy, which then floated skyward as Ichigo put Zangetsu back in place on his back and the cloth strips wound themselves back around the blade as he walked back over to Sebastian and Ciel.
"Alright, Ciel, I'll ask my questions, then you ask yours. But before that: I don't care who referred you; the Foreigner, the Queen of England, or even the Central 46 in Soul Society, if you can't pull your own weight in some way or another, I haven't got the time for you, and neither has the rest of the alliance. That's the reason I tested you. Alright, so my only real question is, what the hell are you two? The only things I was told were name and physical appearance."

Questions... Ciel snorted at that. He was the one who asked questions. Well, it seemed like that right was being stripped away from him for now. He had half a mind to pull out now; to state that he and Sebastian didn't work for anyone who didn't show proper respect, or anyone who ordered them around. Even the Queen more or less requested his aid in things, she never demanded that he go do something. But as her 'guard dog', he took her requests as orders; which were in turn passed down to Sebastian. But no... Pulling out now would make it seem as if he had given up before they'd even started... And that would stain the noble name of Phantomhive for generations. He'd just have to tolerate these things, just as he'd been forced to tolerate many things in the past to satisfy the Queen. While Ciel was openly showing his reluctance and disapproval of Ichigo's commands, Sebastian retained his humble servant act. At Ichigo's words to him, he merely bowed again. "My apologies, Sir. We shall provide funds to replace the airliner that was lost." Ciel was rather annoyed that Sebastian was making these decisions for him; he knew all too well how expensive airplanes were. But Sebastian hadn't let him down yet, and quite frankly; he didn't care at this point what happened. He was content enough to simply blindly trust his butler. Besides... The Phantomhive family had more money than it knew what to do with; they could spare some funds to replace the airplane.
Then Ichigo was gone; heading off to do his own thing to finish off the unconscious beast. Ciel desperately wanted to know what the thing was, but he also wasn't sure if he'd like what he heard. But there was one question he had in mind... "Sebastian, do you know what that guy is?" He asked, the blue eye never leaving the scene. He stiffened in surprise at what was done to end the creature, a movement mirrored by Sebastian. "He is a Shinigami, Master. A Reaper." Ciel's looked confused. "You mean like Grell?" The butler shook his head as his flickering eyes settled back to their usual crimson. "Grell is also a Reaper, as you know; but there is something different about this Ichigo. I don't think this 'Reaper' is the same kind as Grell and William." Ciel was dumbfounded. It sounded as if Sebastian was saying there was more than one kind of reaper. And he'd thought just one Grell reaper was irritating enough. But if the Alliance had a Reaper as a leader; that suggested that numerous species were brought together in the face of the alien threat. That was interesting...
But before he could ask anything else of his butler, Ichigo re-joined them; having disposed of the creature. He didn't appreciate the way this Reaper was speaking to them, and he was on the verge of snapping at him to use his proper title. Ciel was definitely not on first-name basis with this creep. But a look from Sebastian made him keep his mouth shut, though the blue eye blazed with indignation. Sebastian was satisfied with Ciel's silence, and spoke up for his master. His voice was respectful and soft, and Ciel could only marvel at his self-control. "What are we? This is Ciel, the head of the Phantomhive estate; better known as the 'Queen's Guard dog' around Britain. He is very much human. As for me..." That eerie smile crept across his face again. He supposed it was best to be completely honest with this man. "I'm simply one hell of a butler, I have served Lord Phantomhive for two years. If you don't know already, I am a demon. Though very likely, not the same kind of demon you are familiar with."

Ichigo almost said something when Sebastian said he was "simply one hell of a butler," but the man wasn't finished talking. It was a good thing that he hadn't spoken up. A demon, huh? Ichigo suppressed a chuckle at the joke. "One hell of a butler... Nice. Can you guys come with me? I didn't expect to find you right at the airport, so I need to collect my bag."
Ichigo walked in to the baggage claim, where his body was standing, under control of an artificial soul, holding a backpack with an orange tag that read "Kurosaki" on it. Ichigo touched his body on the shoulder, and simply stepped inside, coughing up a green pill which he placed inside a small PEZ dispenser-like containter with a frog on the top before turning to face Ciel and Sebastian.
"I'm not a Shinigami. I'm a substitute Shinigami. Half-human. Do not make that mistake in front of a real Shinigami; most of them are, honestly, snobs about that sort of thing. You won't be attacked or anything, but they'll talk your ear off. So, any questions? Or are we heading out for New Masada before someone from that damn news station sees my hair?" Ichigo gestured over to the news vans that were visible from the window. He had been cornered by the press before, as had every other leader in the Great Alliance. The difference is, only a couple of journalists had actually been able to see Ichigo last time. BBC had one of those journalists, and they were the first news van on the scene. The messy orange hair stuck out, even in London. Ichigo shifted in place, eager to be gone.

Sebastian allowed a smile to spread across his face again. This Ichigo fellow caught the joke? Well then... Perhaps they'd get along just fine. At the very least, the orange haired male knew exactly what he was dealing with. Ciel watched Ichigo move toward the baggage claim, his eye still burning with the lack of respect the man was showing. But there wasn't anything to do but follow. He sighed and trailed after the man Sebastian at his shoulder with his own eyes fixed firmly upon Ichigo's back. Oh yes, he'd watch this Alliance member very carefully. He looked a bit confused when they reached the man who was standing near the claim; holding a small bag. But the confusion faded to understanding in interest as the body returned to be under Ichigo's control once again. He then proceeded to tell them a bit about himself. "Only half Reaper? That would explain your human scent... And not to worry, I am not exactly ignorant to certain Reapers. Though the ones I'm acquainted with will certainly attack given the slightest provocation... Or in the case of a certain one; attempt seduction." He shook his head irritably. Grell had his uses, and he had taken advantage of the Reaper's attraction to him on numerous occasions. But that didn't mean the red-haired fellow didn't get on his nerves.
Ciel spoke up then. "I don't think Grell counts as a Reaper, Sebastian. He was demoted from his chainsaw weapon to scissors after all." The butler nodded in amusement. "You have a point, young master." At the mention of the press, however; Sebastian became more serious. He glanced out of the nearest window, seeing that there was indeed some media already present. He turned back to Ichigo and Ciel, and opened his mouth to speak. However, a rather furious voice rang out then; and he looked up to see a rather bulky man making his way toward them, his face was red with rage. Behind him came the two pilots who had been the plane before it had been destroyed. Those two still seemed to be shaken a bit; they had, after all, seen the butler tear the windows off their plane. Of course, no one had actually been able to see him pick up and throw the aircraft; it had happened all too quickly. But all the same; he, Ciel, and Ichigo had been at the scene. "Oh dear..." He said mildly.
"Oi! You three! What the hell did you do to my airplane?! What drove you the destroy such an expensive machine?!" It seemed as if the bulky man was the one in charge of this airport. While he knew only what the pilots had told him, it was enough to make him suspicious. Sebastian moved forward and bowed again, pulling a bank note and a letter from within a pocket. "Young master, he will need your seal." Ciel rolled his eyes and stepped forward, taking the note and letter from him. He pulled a pen out of his own pocket and began to write swiftly on the letter; using the edge of the baggage claim as a table. Meanwhile, Sebastian took a small piece of wax out of of another pocket and unwrapped it. He moved forward to Ciel's side again, taking the finished letter and placing it within the envelope. Soon, the wax had been melted onto the flap of the letter, and Ciel took his Phantomhive Crest ring and pressed the symbol into the rapidly hardening liquid. "Next time, don't make such a mess; Sebastian." Ciel said irritably. Sebastian smiled in amusement again, before turning back to the manager. He handed the sealed letter to the man, who's eyes widened in shock. "There is enough money there for you to replace the lost plane, as well as a bit of a bonus for allowing us to borrow your machine. Just take this to the London Bank, they'll handle everything else."
The man looked in disbelief at the letter in his hands. Who the devil had enough money to just hand out enough to buy an airplane? The already wide eyes seemed to pop as he looked at the seal. "L... Lord Phantomhive?" He stuttered, looking up. Who was he to charge money from the Queen's Guard Dog? But Ciel and Sebastian had already walked away, standing by Ichigo. "I apologize for the delay." Sebastain bowed again to Ichigo; then held out a gloved hand. "Allow me to take your bag for you, Sir." He said politely. Ciel spoke up again. "We have a private jet waiting to take us to New Masada Island. You are welcome to join us, it would be an honor to provide transportation to an Alliance leader." He was trying extremely hard to regain his own hospitable composure, and it was taking an immense amount of self control on his part. Sebastain nodded slightly in approval of his master's change in attitude. It would be easier to get along with this Alliance if there was a mutual respect between them.

Ichigo stood to the side as the pilot accosted Sebastian and Ciel. And for once, I'm not being yelled at. It was nice that people weren't blaming and/or recognizing the young Great Alliance leader. He was a little surprised at his reaction. Apparently, the name Ciel Phantomhive carried a decent bit of weight in England. No wonder the kid was so irritated about being tested. Ichigo handed his backpack to Sebastian. "Thank you very much." He then turned his attention to Ciel as the young Lord, as his title apparantly was, offered him a ride.
"Oh, thank goodness. I really appreciate it; I wasn't expecting to be out of London the same day I got here. I guess that the Queen plans a little better than I do. And as for that Grell person... I don't know every Shinigami, but I've never heard of one with a chainsaw Zanpakuto. Anyways, you must have at least a couple questions. Fire away and I'll answer them as best I can. I doubt you'll have much free time for the first day or so on New Masada. The students will probably think you're a freshman or something. Which reminds me; do not accept pie, whatever you do. If you have to take pie, don't eat the pie. Trust me."

Sebastian took the backpack from Ichigo as he accepted the offer, and carried it gingerly as they turned toward the private hanger. He had no idea what sort of things this man was carrying, and it just wouldn't do if he broke something while carrying it. Of course, the bag was lighter than a feather to him; so there was no way for him to even guess at what was within. But he supposed it didn't really matter; so long as he remained alert and ready for any sort of trouble from this man or the Alliance itself. "Actually, the queen leaves the planning to us. We only learned of the Great Alliance this morning. It's thanks to Sebastian that we're already here and set up to head toward the Island. But we certainly didn't expect someone from the Alliance to be here to greet us." Sebastian's voice came next. "As for Grell; his chainsaw is his death scythe, one that he customized to satisfy his own rather messy tastes." He shook his head slightly. "Grell can chance his appearance, but he can't just leave his body as you apparently can. So I'm assuming there is more than one species of Reaper. Personally, I thought just one was more than enough." He shrugged, smiling as some inner joke which he didn't voice.
"As for questions, we have none. We tend to not pry if we can avoid it." Ciel stated firmly. "We know what our assignment is, and we will do whatever it takes to succeed. That's good enough for us." Contrary to his words, he was burning with thousands of questions. But he wasn't going to just start asking. If he felt an immediate need for an answer; then he would ask when he felt like it. But for now, he was fine with simply going to this Island in the Pacific Ocean; and then he'd listen to what the Alliance felt like sharing with him. At the mention of pie, Ciel couldn't help but feel confused again. Why did he suddenly change the subject like that? Did he have a bad case of ADHD or something...? He sighed, but said nothing. Sebastian, on the other hand, did have something to say. "I do hope your Alliance will understand and respect our one requirement of service. No one is to provide food or drink to my lord, except me. I am his butler, and so it falls upon my shoulders to make sure he is healthy and well. We wouldn't want something not so pleasant to enter my lord's body now; would we?" Ciel nodded firmly. "Indeed, I will not be accepting any sort of service from anyone but Sebastian. My own status gives many a longing to assassinate me, or something of the like. I am not saying your Alliance is out to kill me, I am not saying I distrust you. But one can't be too careful now, can he?"
They had reached the entrance, and Sebastian handed over the proper documents and identification. The woman at the desk raised her eyebrows at Ichigo; and was apparently about to say something. But Ciel cut her off. "He is my guest, and I expect him to be allowed to ride as well. Will further payment be required?" The woman shook her head and picked up a phone; satisfied with Ciel's words. "Mr. Jackson, your passengers are here. Are you ready for them?" There came an acknowledgement from the other end of the phone, and the woman put it back on the receiver. She hurried over to where the entrance boarding ramp was stationed; and opened the door for the trio. "Please enjoy your flight, Sirs." Ciel and Sebastian nodded, then proceed into the tunnel.
It wasn't long before Ciel had taken his seat in the luxury compartment, and Sebastian secured Ichigo's bag in a compartment. Within the plane, there weren't lines of seats up against the walls as was common in passenger planes. The arrangements here were quite different. Everything was clean and well kept; every step had been taken to guarantee the utmost comfort of the VIP travelers who used the aircraft. Comfortable, plush seats were placed neatly at different points within the rather spacious compartment; there was a kitchen space; multiple televisions; tables which were set as if this were a fancy restaurant. Ciel took a seat at one of these tables, while Sebastian proceeded into the kitchen area. "I assume you want your usual afternoon tea and lunch, my lord?" Ciel simply nodded, and looked out of the window rather nervously. He wasn't so sure about riding an airplane; it still just didn't seem safe. "And how about our guest? Can I get you anything, Kurosaki sir?" Sebastian asked; looking up from his work to smile at Ichigo. At that moment, a voice came on over the intercom.
"This is your head pilot speaking. It is my pleasure to welcome you as distinguished guests, and I invite you to enjoy the flight. We will reach New Masada Island within 4 hours, and take off will begin shortly." Ciel seemed a bit unnerved then. "Only four hours? But we're traveling halfway around the globe!" Of course, he hadn't pressed the nearby return call to speak with the pilot, so Sebastian answered instead. "This is a private jet, my lord; not a passenger plane. While it cannot go supersonic as certain military aircraft can, it can get quite close. Please relax, master. Nothing will go wrong. Airplanes are quite safe these days." It sounded as if he'd had experience with older aircraft before. Sebastian came over and placed a cup of tea on the table before Ciel. There hadn't been enough time for water to boil to make the tea; but as usual, Sebastian had sped up the process in his own way. Ciel took a calming breath as he sipped lightly from the steaming cup; and Sebastian turned to face Ichigo; waiting for a refreshment request.

Ichigo almost laughed at the serious request made by Sebastian. Ciel and the butler took this too seriously. "Well, Ciel. I hope I didn't make you think our house is full of liars and assassins. My warning was because of prank pies. All sorts of annoying tricks, like spring-loaded snakes or using rotten fruit. Nobody can bring pie into my class anymore because of those hooligans, and we still don't know who's making the things."
The trio boarded the plane without incident, and Ichigo took a seat across from and facing Ciel. He was caught off-guard by the short amount of time Sebastian had brought Ciel's tea in. Then again, Kido did mean "Demon Magic", so maybe the demon could use it, or maybe he had his own kind of magic. Whatever the case, Ichigo was about to ask for a ham sandwich and some water when the Shinigami badge on his belt lit up and began making its strange sound, like a strangely deep-voiced cat trying to imitate a pager. "Again? Ciel, I think they're after you specifically. I take it Sebastian can keep you safely on the plane and keep an eye on my body?"
Without waiting for an answer, Ichigo grabbed his Combat Pass, and he emerged from his body in his shinigami clothing, with Zangetsu on his back. Walking out of the compartment with Ciel and Sebastian in it, but leaving the divider open, he opened the emergency exit, looking outside the plane to see a Hollow about the same size as the one they had fought before. The difference between them was that this one was in the shape of a giant vulture. Great...
"Hey, Sebastian, Ciel! Prepare to be impressed." Ichigo called back to the pair, then grabbed Zangetsu off his back. Holding the sword forward as the cloth wrapped around his right arm, he began channeling his spirit power. The blue aura became visible around him, and gathered into a sphere, which slowly closed in on Ichigo. "BAN KAI!"
Ichigo yelled out that release, and there was a blinding flash. When the light cleared from the eyes of any onlookers, they would see him standing there, holding a daito sword where his giant cleaver used to be and clad in a long coat with a red lining, closed over his chest, but open at the bottom. "Tensa Zangetsu."
Watching out the open door as the Hollow increased in speed, aiming to overtake the plane, Ichigo used his Shunpo technique to move onto the giant bird's back, and then again onto the top of the plane. Ichigo swung his sword at the beast, stating in a flat voice, "Getsuga Tensho." A crescent of condensed black and blue spirit power emerged from his blade and struck the bird in the wing. It faltered for a moment, losing altitude and letting out a keening shriek. Ichigo stared at it as it rose up and overhead. Swinging his sword again, he launched another Getsuga at the beast, striking it across the chest. Most of this hit went straight through the Hollow's chest hole, but what had connected pained it greatly. It lost speed, falling behind, but struggling enough to where it could fly just off the right side of the plane, the wings of both aerial entities almost touching. One more swing of the sword, one more Getsuga Tensho, and suddenly Ichigo was witness to quite a show. This Hollow must not have been a good person in life, because the gates of hell itself appeared behind it. Strangely, both the gates and the Hollow kept moving at the same speed as the plane. The ominous black doors opened, and myriad hands reached out, grabbing the wailing bird and pulling it into its place of eternal torment.
Ichigo stepped off the edge of the airplane above the emergency exit, landing squarely on the edge and stepping inside, shutting the door and holding Tensa Zangetsu in a reversed grip. "If it's all the same to you two, I think I'll stay like this until we reach New Masada. The Hollows seem to think that Ciel's soul would make a tasty snack. So, are you absolutely sure there are no questions? This is the perfect time to 'forget' professionalism, considering what just happened. I won't tell anyone."

[/style][style=width: 325px; font-family: georgia; font-size: 15px; color : #hexcode; margin-top: -50px;]Come now... If I couldn't do this much, [/color][/div] What sort of a butler would I be? [/color][/div]
The instant the badge lit and started to make noise, Sebastian fixed his suspicious gaze upon it. He hadn't the faintest idea of what it was or its purpose, but it was certainly intriguing. But he wasn't given a chance to ponder, as Ichigo seemed to have the intention of going out and confronting the beast while this aircraft was thousands of feet above the ground, and flying at top speed. He was about to deny Ichigo's request of him to look over his body; to insist that he let him take care of it. To be honest, he was planning to move up to the cockpit of the jet and take control of piloting. True, he didn't know how to fly an airplane; but it wouldn't take him long to figure out the task. But of course, Ichigo proceeded without awaiting an answer to his request. He separated himself from his body, and then left the compartment within a matter of seconds. Both Ciel and Sebastian watched him leave with disapproval in their gazes. Were all the Alliance members so reckless? Sure, they likely had their own special skills; as Ichigo did. But no one was invincible... And a falling out of the jet when it was this high and in motion would probably mean instant death.
Sebastian and Ciel exchanged a confused look when they remember that Ichigo had said these... Hollows... Were after Ciel in particular. Why? That was a question they both had. Was someone who controlled these beasts out to get the Earl Phantomhive for some strange reason? Ichigo's voice came again from just outside the compartment. "Impressed...? Hmph Not Likely..." Ciel muttered, as he took another sip from his teacup before looking out of the window. But what he did see made him inhale his breath sharply, and he coughed a bit. "What is he doing?!" He managed to choke out. Sebastian didn't answer, but simply leaned over to also gaze out of the small window. While Ciel was sputtering about how much of an idiot Ichigo was for exiting the plane like that, Sebastian observed with interest as the very short conflict commenced. This Reaper... Or Part Reaper... Was quite intriguing... Meanwhile, alarms had gone off in the plane, an electronic voice wailing about an open hatch. They could hear the pilots in the cockpit raging and swearing violently. Both were unable to see exactly what was going on, but they were able to understand that something was definitely wrong. But they were also too frightened to take evasive maneuvers now that a hatch was open. They weren't going to risk throwing out their other two passengers by mistake. So the plane was kept firmly on course and the alarms were shut off. They watched every sensor the plane had to try monitoring what was going on.
It wasn't long before Ichigo seemed to enter the process of ending the fight. When those doors appeared behind the Hollow, Sebastian's eyes narrowed. The instant those doors opened, he felt the powerful pull that seemed to pass through the plane walls itself. That was the entrance into his own dimension; Hell was his origination. Those gates were very familiar to him, and the hunger of the opening was reaching an extremely high level. It was as if it were trying with all its might to drag him in along with the hollow. For the first time in what seemed like forever, Sebastian began to feel ill. The red gaze flickered back to its pink with slit pupils, and what appeared to be black feathers came into being along with traces of black fog; both began to flutter down around the butler. Oh yes, that was his home... But... He had a soul to swallow before he could return there... Ciel was in utter shock as he pressed himself into his seat; leaning back as far as he could to put some distance between himself and his butler. Sebastian himself had mentioned on numerous occasions that his true form was a foul sight, and he seemed to radiate a power that tugged on Ciel's own soul; threatening to rip it away before the contract terms could be fulfilled.
But no... The gates had sucked in the hollow, and began to close. Sebastian's clothing began to flutter around him in a non-existent breeze as the force doubled its focus on him. But he didn't move. Even the fog and feathers were fading, though that sense of power still wavered in the unstable air. "I apologize, but I am not ready to return home just yet." Sebastian spoke, and his voice seemed to echo within the confines of the compartment. Apparently, he was talking to someone through the gate. Finally, the said gates closed entirely and vanished as quickly as they had come; and the demon faded along with it. The pinkish red eyes resumed their usual appearance. He looked down on Ciel, who was partially petrified, but also fascinated. The butler sighed, and knelt in front of Ciel. "I'm sorry you had to see that, young master. It seems as if someone wants my services back in the pits of Hell; which you know is where I originate." He bowed his head. "I assure you, I have no intention of leaving you until our contract has been fulfilled." Ciel began to visibly relax, though he was still quite shaken.
At that moment, the door outside their compartment slammed shut; and Ichigo came back in. Sebastian rose to his feet, well aware that the aura of his inner demon still lingered in the air. Suddenly someone else appeared in the compartment entrance, the co-pilot of the jet. He was almost purple faced in outrage as he glared daggers at the orange-haired male. "The next time that door opens; we're going on emergency lock down and landing this plane, in the ocean if we have to. You got that?!" He was finding it very difficult to make his words clear. "I don't know exactly what happened out there, but we could have avoided it if you had remained safely in your room! If any of you die, it's on our heads as the pilots; why don't you try keeping that in mind?!" He spun on his heel and slid the door shut behind him; still in a towering temper as he rejoined his companion in the cockpit. Sebastian suppressed a smirk. The pilots just had no idea that they were all safe as long as he was present; no matter how dangerous something turned out to be. Besides, Ichigo could certainly handle himself. Ciel had only one thing to say. "Sebastian, we are never flying on a plane again..." He grunted, trying to restore his composure and dignity before Ichigo rejoined him at the table.
As Ichigo spoke, Ciel sighed and took yet another sip from his tea; having regained his indifferent attitude. He closed his eye as he did so, savoring the taste of the drink as he considered. "Alright then, if you insist." He said softly, and with indifference; as if this was just a pleasant conversation over tea rather than a discussion about the risk his very being was in. The eye opened again with a burning intensity flickering within the blue depths. "What exactly are these 'hollows' you speak of; and why are they after my soul?" Sebastian had stiffened when Ichigo mentioned the beasts' desire for Ciel's soul, and he was quite glad that Ciel had asked that question rather than himself. He doubted he would have been able to hold back the now fiercely possessive demon within if he had been the one to ask. Ciel's soul belonged to him, and only him. No creature, fiend of hell or not, would lay its filthy touch upon the pure soul he would one day consume. His own hunger for the soul wouldn't allow such a theft to occur. As long as the Fuastian Contract held, nothing would get even close to his young master. He spoke in a masked voice; hiding the true emotion he was feeling. "Well, if you two are going to be having some discussion; I believe lunch is in order. Ichigo, what will you have?" Ciel would just go with whatever Ichigo wanted; he wasn't all that hungry himself at the moment anyway.

Ichigo grinned as the co-pilot railed at him. Apparantly, the man could see spirits, but wasn't at all phased by the Shinigami holding a daito blade on his aircraft. He had guts, for sure. Or a tazer. Either way, Ichigo just stayed quiet until the man had returned to the cockpit. At any rate, Ichigo didn't retake his seat, instead opting to stand. Ciel asked his question, the one question Ichigo knew would be asked first. Sebastian showed intense dedication to his job. "I almost forgot about lunch. Just a ham sandwich or something. I don't want to be any more trouble than I have been."
Ichigo leaned against the wall opposite Ciel's side of the plane, propping Tensa Zangetsu up against said wall with the tip pointed up and the flat of the blade against the wall. The blade was his own spirit force, so of course he could touch it like he did to place it that way without cutting himself. "Your question bears some explanation beyond what it directly relates to. Sebastian might already know all this, in some form, but I'd rather keep the explanations to myself. The Shinigami you have in London sound a lot different than the Gotei 13, and I'd rather try to match up different terms after I'm done."
Ichigo took a deep breath, collecting his thoughts and deciding were to begin. "Alright, so, when a human dies, normally their soul moves on to heaven or hell. However, good spirits who are still tied to the earth in some way do not move on. The term for these loosely earthbound souls is "Plus". Normally, a Shinigami would find a Plus soul in the real world, and perform something called Konso, or Soul Burial, sending the spirit to heaven. However, we can't find all these Plus souls. If a Plus spends too much time in the world of the living, the chain of fate that tied them to their body rusts away, and their heart goes with it. Being around Hollows speeds up the process, and if a Hollow eats their heart, then it's a given. So, short version, they're dead humans operating on instinct to try and replace their own lost heart."
Ichigo stood upright, off the wall before he continued. "As for why they want you in particular, I think Sebastian and I can take some blame there. I'm probably giving off enough reiatsu, spiritual pressure, to attract them for miles. But, then, I'm a Shinigami, and only a complete idiot would hunt their natural hunter. That's where Sebastian gets some blame. Hollows go for the strongest soul they can find. Most tend not to go for Shinigami, as I said. Thus, they get close enough to sense your soul, which, more likely than not, is amplified a hell of a lot by your 'contract' with Sebastian."
Ichigo walked over to the table where Ciel was, placing Tensa Zangetsu on an adjacent table, but away from where Ciel could reach out and cut himself on the blade like a curious little monkey. "So, I guess an apology is in order. Still, it's a good thing we're in a private plane. I don't think my stunt with the door could work on a passenger jet, and we'll be at New Masada in a couple hours. Did I answer your question? And does Sebastian have any questions?"

"Trouble? Not at all. If you wish for anything more, please don't hesitate to ask." He retreated into the kitchen area, and busied himself with lunch and more tea. But he was listening very closely to everything that was said. Ciel was rather disapproving of the fact that Ichigo didn't join him at the table; it was common courtesy. He was, after all, a guest here. He could get Sebastian to throw this guy off the plane right then, and his body; but he chose not to because it would be a bad first impression to the Alliance. But he certainly was considering such extreme tactics by now. No respect whatsoever. At least he was doing his best to be informative, that was one thing Ciel appreciated. But all the same... He wasn't too fond of this guy. Sebastian on the other hand, was obviously quite intrigued with the guy. Honestly, one might have thought that Ichigo was some cat in disguise.
Sebastian returned to place a fresh cup of tea before Ciel and a silver platter of sandwiches in the center of the table. There variety though, Sebastian couldn't stand dull meals like a ham sandwich. There were some of those on the plate; but there were also turkey, Italian, and many others upon the intricately engraved plate. As he straightened up, he fixed those fierce red eyes upon Ichigo as another smile curled his lips. "The Reapers who exist here do as their name suggests; the reap souls. They keep record of who has died, and who will die, as well as detailed on the time, place, and cause of death. They travel to the scene when one is about to die, and then they judge whether or not the person should die. In most cases, they do; and so the Reapers send them to either Heaven or Hell. But on a rare occasion, there is a human who would make a huge change in the world in the lifetime should they survive. In that case, they are saved and are granted the gift of life.
He paused, then continued. "You seem to have forgotten one path for the soul, or are otherwise unaware of it. Yes, there is Heaven or Hell; but there is also the option of simple non-existence." There was a flash of something within the eyes that might have been a bit malicious. "Non-existence caused by that soul being devoured by a demon." Ciel nodded, he'd understood all the Ichigo had said fairly well. Now it was his turn to speak. "You know nothing of the Fuastian Contract, do you; Reaper?" Ciel said in a serious tone. "I assume it doesn't exist where you come from." He took a moment to raise the eye patch, and fixed his mismatched eyes on Ichigo; so that he could get a good look at the symbol. "You answered my question, now I will answer one you probably want to ask yourself. Sebastian..."
He didn't need to finish the sentence. Sebastian raised his gloved right hand, and took the tip of the middle finger between his teeth. In a single, smooth motion; he pulled the glove from his hand, and the used his other hand to take hold of the glove. The symbol on the back of his hand was identical to the one in Ciel's eye, and both shone with a purple glow. Sebastian's eyes flickered into a pink shade, and his pupils narrowed to slits. He held up the hand, and spoke again. "When A human goes through a traumatic experience in their life that scars them forever, they often want revenge upon those who inflicted the suffering. The human heart is naturally greedy and tainted with dark wishes. That is when we demons come in. We can make a contract with the said human, join them in their life and provide aid in their ultimate life's goal." Ciel took another sip from cup of tea, apparently disinterested in what his butler was saying. "As long as my master holds the contract, I am his loyal servant. A wish... A sacrifice... And this... He twitched the exposed hand as the glow seemed to intensify. "All of these things keep me bound the the Young Lord Phantomhive. Until the day I swallow his soul in return for my service. Then his soul shall enter non-existence while it sustains me." The smile was amused again and he pulled his glove back on.
Ciel replaced his eye patch, once again hiding the symbol.Sebastian blinked once and his eyes returned to normal. He had a rather cold smile on his face now. Yes, he'd sold his soul for the purpose of his revenge. But he didn't regret it. His soul was too defiled o enter Heaven, and had no interest in going to Hell. So there was nothing to lose, and everything to gain; by making his contract. "I suppose it is no surprise that my soul would attract these Hollows. But I assume that you can see exactly safe my soul is from them. They would never get close to it, Sebastian is rather possessive of his future meal." He airily waved a hand at Ichigo's final words. "There is no need for apology, you answered my question and I thank you. I also agree with you on that point. Your, stunt as you called it, would not have been taken so kindly had you been on a plane with a bunch of normal people." Sebastian shook his head at Ichigo's question. "I know enough already. I admit I am a bit confused by the prospect of this 'off-world invasion' the Queen mentioned, but I assume we shall discover further information on that in time."

Ichigo gratefully took a ham sandwich off of the platter as he finished his monologue. Taking a bite, he fixed his gaze on the young boy, but turned his head to face Sebastian when he started talking about the British reapers. That sounded like one of the myths about the Reapers that was so popular. Maybe some other group of entities inspired those legends, and not the Shinigami? Anyway, Ichigo's interest was piqued by Ciel as he finished his sandwich. A Faustian Contract?
So that was what the symbol was for. Sebastian had one to match. The pair were stuck together until the butler took the kid's soul. Ichigo shuddered. Ciel didn't seem phased at admitting that he wasn't going to exist after he got his revenge. "That was... unsettling, to say the least. You're cool with being food instead of going on to Soul Society? Can't say that I approve of a demon going around and eating souls, but then again, it is your choice." Ichigo turned to Sebastian, looking up from his seat. "But, Sebastian? If I find any relatives of yours skipping the deals and going straight for their snack, I don't plan on letting them live through it. You understand, right? I can't stop people from making these contracts, and I don't see a problem as long as it's by choice, but any demons going for a free lunch are fair game. I'm not trying to be rude, but I am blunt." Ichigo sighed. "So, hopefully someone else will be at New Masada's airstrip when we land. Trust me, we aren't all this rude." Ichigo leaned his head back in the seat. "If either of you want to learn how to handle a sword, look me up. I teach the students as much as I can, from the basic 'pointy end goes into other guy' phase onwards. Maybe you can sniff out who's making all those damn pies."

Ciel sighed and shook his head. Of course the Reaper wouldn't understand or approve. But whether he liked it or not, it didn't matter. "I'm not going to any 'soul society' when I die. My soul is far too defiled to go anywhere but straight to hell. So I have no problem with it, as long as I achieve my revenge first; which the contract guarantees. I'm bound to life until that revenge is achieved. I wouldn't die of old age if it took me until I was 200 or something to get my revenge. Because the contract keeps me alive until it is either broken, or until I achieve my goal." He leaned back in his chair, casting another shifty glance out of the small window. He really didn't like flying...
Sebastian seemed rather amused yet again as Ichigo spoke to him. He had no relatives. Ichigo really knew nothing of the demons which existed right under his very nose. "Believe me, I understand; and you're more than welcome to try taking on any demon of my kind you find. Demons are loners at heart, we hate each other; because we always fight over our food. So I could care less if you killed every one you found. Most demons do just as you say, they skip any deal-making and go straight for meals. The Reapers rather dislike us, because we mess up their files and steal the souls they are meant to reap. But demons must survive in some way; and souls are our diet. However, I am not like other demons; or I would have already devoured the young master's soul without any contract. Some might refer to me as... Well... A hopelessly picky eater. I don't run around feasting on any and every soul I come across, I ended those habits long ago; longer than I care to remember. Some souls are more desirable than others; and a soul that gives itself up willingly is quite an enjoyable meal. They also sustain a demon longer, the stronger the soul is. So I prefer getting my food through the contract; through which I get only high-quality food."
Ciel was quite happy when Ichigo changed the subject. It wasn't that the talk of how tasty his soul would be made him uncomfortable; because it didn't. But this was a boring conversation, something between demon and reaper; where he had no place due to being only human. "Not this rude? I'll believe that when I see it." And unexpectedly, he smiled then. "I'm already used to it though, so no worries." He almost said that it was better than having to wear a dress to carry out a task, but he chose not to mention that. It was a rather embarrassing subject, and he'd already given Ichigo their biggest secret. He had no intention of sharing anything else without good reason. "Also, Ichigo; I would appreciate if you didn't mention the contract to anyone. If another leader wants to know, then send them to us and we shall explain it as we explained to you." Sebastian smirked as he refilled Ciel's teacup, and poured another one for Ichigo specifically; in case he was interested.
Ciel had a rather malicious grin on his face now. "If I find that anyone knows of our secret without my telling them; I'm sending Sebastian straight for you. The power of the contract is more than you can imagine." He said nothing more, but continued to leer as he turned his gaze to the window again. Oh yes... The power of the contract... No order was impossible. If he ordered Sebastian to kill this Ichigo; then Sebastian would find a way to do so, and do so as soon as possible. Any resistance would be in vain, because Sebastian would either win or die trying. If he died, well then... There was a simple order to bring Sebastian back to life; he had done so in past, and he could do it again. Well, assuming a special demon-killing weapon wasn't used. In that case, he'd lose his butler and most likely his hopes for revenge. "Forgive me for threatening you like that, but this is a serious matter we keep to ourselves. We only told you because you already saw my eye, and you told us important information first. I'm going to assume you understand, because I don't enjoy lingering on such upsetting topics." He looked over at his butler. "Sebastian, go offer some tea to the pilots. I'm sure that are still rather upset about our guest's dangerous escapade." Sebastian bowed with yet another smile. "Yes, my lord." He then left the compartment, bearing another tray with two teacups on it.
