As the two argued over how to stop Lina from casting her, the person in question was continuing her chant. The words seemingly amplified by the magic to go over the howling vortex of a storm that had appeared over the few blocks around. "Buried in the flow of time. In thy great name I pledge myself to darkness Let the fools who stand before me be destroyed By the power you and I possess" Well, if those word were any indication; it would seem the forces of darkness had their own version of a Massive Airburst Ordinance Bomb at their disposal if not a full on unholy tactical nuke. Her hands cast down as angry looking red and black energy began to appear, first as a pinprick and than growing bigger. The lightning and winds were also getting more intense as whatever she was incanting into reality grew in size.

"By whatever means necessary!" He said back to the blond boy while looking about as the storm intensified. "We'll attack her together, simultaneously! You down here on the ground with your Alchemy... and me from up there..." Trailing off as his gaze slowly shifted upward to the storm then back down. Taking advantage of the increased wind activity; the Seishin quickly gathered a large amount in his right hand and compressed it. "We just need to incapacitate her...but if we can't within the next few minutes... hit her with EVERYTHING you've got!" There was no cockiness to those words... he was dead serious. He understood full what she was feeling; but he would NOT risk thousands, possibly millions of lives for her.
When that was all said; the Seishin slammed his right fist into the concrete. An explosion of air followed, launching him upward at breakneck speed; leaving a crater in his wake. He landed on the roof opposite to the one she resided. (I should be able to use this.) The Seishin faced her; his right hand open and his arm raised into the sky. Focusing his energy he drew several bolts of lightning into that palm... but it wasn't going to be easy.
The magical lightning danced around him as he struggled to take control of it. One large bolt got away from him and struck the street "Aw, mother of a..." He muttered as he watched out of the corner of his eye, but kept his focus on preparing his attack. When he finally did gain control; the Seishin condensed the electricity into a large blue sphere. "I've got it now! RAISENKEN!" Suddenly 3 massive bolts of lightning lanced out of the sphere, he was aiming for the wall just below the roof to try and collapse as much of it as possible.

[/style][style=width: 325px; font-family: georgia; font-size: 15px; color : #hexcode; margin-top: -50px;]Though I knew the laws, I paid no heed... How can I return your wasted breath? This was getting way out of hand. The woman was chanting again, and the storm was getting worse at an astonishing speed. Everything was dark and frightening; there even seemed to be some sort of energy that wasn't lightning flashing around within the clouds. He wasn't sure exactly what would happened when this... Strange power... Was released, but he knew one thing... It wouldn't be a pretty sight. He watched the man start to gather some wind in his palm, but didn't much of a change to see if it that was alchemy or not. He nodded dazedly in response to his words, and watched as the guy launched himself up to a roof. Pretty powerful movement there, or so the crater suggested. He turned to the building upon which the girl stood. Incapacitate her...? Alright, he'd try.
The guy was then using some more strange powers, apparently trying to bring the building down; using... Was that lightning...? To strike at the walls. So, the man wanted to collapse the building? Edward grumbled under his breath. He had just repaired the edifice... Now he had to bring it back down. He summoned up the energy he had left, and brought his palms to the ground once more. The glow of transmutation rippled up the face of the wall, enormous cracks appeared in the structure as it was pulled apart. Luckily, it was much easier for him to take buildings down than to repair them. The structure swayed ominously, then began to crumble while the girl was still on it. If she fell; maybe this dangerous attack coming up would be forced to stop before completion.
ooc: Sorry for shortness.

The unfortunate thing was every attack hit at once indeed as the woman yelled out the final words. "DRAGON SLAVE!" The blast cast down just as the building collapsed and the lightning hit. But the beam of crimson and black slammed into the ground and for Ryuu and Edward, the world turned magenta.
If they could see, the affects weren't unlike being near a nuclear bomb going off. The only things missing were the radiation and intense, human-vaporizing heat. Buildings were pushed outwards and then obliterated. Cars were sent flying down the road. The blast sphere kept going outwards till for about a full kilometer in diameter, nothing structurally was left but a crater.
**********
"So you understand now Ed? What I do is pure magic. Not Alchemy. Granted, your tricks are impressive but you I bet were running out of steam by the end of that weren't you?" Lina said, munching on a leg of hot and spicy crispy chicken as in her lap was a KFC bucket filled with nothing but the same. Behind the trio was about 10 more buckets of 20 pieces of each flavor on the menu as well as 4 of each side. They were now in Hastings, Minnesota and heading to check out this Renaissance Festival.
Lina was watching the flatscreen in Ryuu's van, which had surprisingly survived Lina's introduction to Earth completely unharmed, in spite of being in the range of the crater. On it was some woman for a news network named FUX NEWS. "I swear, I will take my gun and sit at the porch of my home people! I am still freaking amazed that no one died in Green Bay. I blame it on those crazy Japanese superheroes of the Alliance! Only they could pull of such a stunt of my name isn't Saran Heck. This is FUX NEWS, the UNFAIR and CRAZY channel." Lina turned it off with the remote and sighed.
"Great, at least they don't got anything of me on film but I don't want my reputation to be that of others." She than stood up and went outside with a smile on her face.
"So Ed and Ryuu, want to explain all these events going on with these aliens and all that?" Lina asked cheerfully and said, "If I can make a buck off defending the planet, I will happily join The Alliance. The idea of the Justice League sounds too much like something a friend of mine would just go nuts over." The woman smiled and waited for a response from the two.

"The old bitch blames the Japanese but no Meta-humans hmmmmm? As he watched the FUX NEWS segment. "I'll give these ass-hats credit, they're still more liberal than LEX NEWS." Lina then turned the TV off...thankfully with the remote instead of Fireballing it as these 80 inch'ers are a bitch to replace. He bit into a drumstick from his bucket before saying. "On film anyway, someone could snap a pic of you with one of these." Opening a cell phone with the camera mode on. "but if they did it'd be online and I haven't seen anything."
He then closed the bucket and cleaned his hands with a wet wipe as those napkins don't do dick...especially when they're PUT IN THE DAMNED BUCKET! Then got up into the driver's seat and started her up! He was relieved the van was still in-tact; those orhicalcon shocks and protection spells wore worth the trouble. "Luckily the Feds drag their asses, so we got a few hours head-start. Still I wanna be as far from Ground Zero as possible. This looks like a Meta-human attack and those Jack-booted Thugs will respond in kind." The van started down the road. "I took quite a beating from you guys and not even the power of KFC and this Big Gulp of Dew has restored enough strength to take on an Anti-Meta Task Force." (And that's if we're lucky; we're totally screwed if they call in the League on top of that.) "Oh yeah," His focus was on the road, yet he shot them a glare from the corner of his eye. "don't call me 'Ryuu'; the shirt says 'Ryuusei'."

[/style][style=width: 325px; font-family: georgia; font-size: 15px; color : #hexcode; margin-top: -50px;]Though I knew the laws, I paid no heed... How can I return your wasted breath? What the hell... His time off duty had been wired all over with the most unexpected situations... He arrived in Green Bay wishing something exciting would happen, hoping that he could find some way to entertain himself. That saying 'Be careful what you wish for' seemed to be taking affect. He'd visited the stadium, only to find it blown up and littered with injured people, emergency vehicles, and security forces. Then he'd gone into a diner, and came face-to-face with the perpetrator. And then somehow, he'd sided with her as a rather rude man came forward, despite his disgust with what the female had done... Then there was the battle... And he'd still fought with the strange woman against the male. A good few blocks had been reduced to rubble, and he'd wasted time and energy fixing it once the conflict was over... Then BOOM, Green Bay had been reduced to a crater in a flash of magenta light; a crater which looked as if some giant meteor had come down and struck the place.
And now... He sat there at KFC with the lady who'd done all that damage, and the guy he'd tried to beat the hell out of. He was still unsure of how he'd survived that, but the explosion hadn't really messed with him at all... Well, unless you counted the fact that he had been unable to move his arm or leg much. Whatever had happened in Green Bay with that freaky explosion of Lina's, it had caused his mechanical limbs to short circuit. He'd disguised his hobble well enough until he'd gotten into Ryuusei's automobile, so he didn't think they'd really noticed. It was better that way. He'd eaten a bit of the food entirely left-handed, and had somehow managed to not dump the crap all over himself. But as Lina started to speak to him about her "magic", he could feel the tell-tale tingling within the limbs that meant the circuits were coming back online.
He considered himself extremely lucky to have the mechanic he did; her skills had really been useful throughout his life. In her most recent work on the arm, just before he'd come to America on the military duty call; she apparently rigged up his limbs with some sort of circuit breaker. Because of that, it hadn't imploded during that final attack on Green Bay. It was always set up in a way that it normally ran off the signals sent through his nervous system; that was why the auto-mail didn't run on batteries or anything. But a huge source of energy like that had shut off the connection to the brain, and only now was it starting to function properly again. He had no idea how Winry had done it; these ideas flashing through his head were merely guesses. But he made a mental note to give her a proper thank you next time they met. It was a huge relief to find that he could move his metal fingers and toes again, he'd felt next to helpless without the things functioning. Technically, he was helpless without them; but there was no way he'd let anyone find that out.
Edward raised his right arm for the first time since they'd left Green Bay, or what remained of the city. The metal plates concealed beneath his garments creaked a bit, and there was a quiet buzzing sound as the arm released a sort of electric shock. He didn't have time to brace himself, or say anything really. The agony exploded in the stumps of his limbs, and he nearly fell out of his chair as a yell started to come up in his throat. He screwed his face up and slumped forward in his seat, choking back the cry of pain. He couldn't allow weakness to show in front of these two people. The agony lingered for a few minutes as he drew in one deep breath after another. Then it was gone as quickly as it had come. "D... Damn it..." He muttered quietly to himself as he straightened up in his seat. Winry hadn't told him that she'd put in the circuit breaker, nor had she told him that he'd suffer through the excruciating pain that came when the metal nerves met his flesh ones. That was the worst part of auto-mail. It was painless when Winry and Pinako had to take the limbs off for routine maintenance. But reattaching them was torture, the moment the nervous system recreated its connection with the metal wiring which served as nerves in the arm. If she'd warned him, then maybe he would have been better prepared. But at least it was over now...
He had completely forgotten what Lina had just said to him; the only word he recalled was "magic". He vaguely remembered her asking about the aliens. But it didn't matter, he wasn't interested in anything Lina had to say now; he was in no mood to speak with her at all. Without a word, he grasped his right shoulder with his left arm and started to rotate the right arm. It felt a bit less stiff with every rotation, it wouldn't be long before he was fully functional again. His leg, while it too had reconnected the nerves at that instant, was already working. The pressure from putting weight on it was enough to make it work properly. He took a napkin out of the nearest box of chicken; making sure it was the top one of the stack, less greasy. He wiped the sweat from his face which had come up during the reconnection; he was feeling much more like himself now. The golden gaze watched the television for a moment, but there was only one line that really got his attention. "I am still freaking amazed that no one died in Green Bay." That was good news at least... The last thing he wanted hanging over his head were murders which were indirectly caused by him when he returned to speak with the Horned Frog about Green Bay.
"If I can make a buck off defending the planet, I will happily join The Alliance."
That made him fix the disapproving glare on her. "I may be able to get you in contact with one of the higher ups in the Alliance, I'm a recent recruit. But if you plan to prance around and destroy every single little thing that pisses you off; you certainly won't be given a warm welcome, much less be accepted to serve." If Lina joined the alliance... That thought in itself was enough to make his blood boil. Sure, her powers would be useful and all when it came to fighting aliens; but seriously... She obviously didn't give a rat's ass about the well-being of the inhabitants of a world that wasn't her own. Edward rose to his feet as Ryuusei did, and followed him to his vehicle. Why the hell was he still tagging along with them? The sooner he returned to HQ to deliver a report on everything, the better. He didn't really know... The only good thing that could come of this was that he might get more information about this Lina character to pass on to the Alliance leaders; probably a few words on Ryuusei as well. And if Lina really was interested in joining up, he would be better off observing her more before he introduced her to the leaders. Perhaps Ryuusei himself might end up becoming interested in joining as well. Edward sat moodily in the back of the van, surrounded by things which he had never seen before; his elbow on an upraised knee while he laid his chin on his palm; gazing out of the window. He let Ryuusei and Lina talk amongst themselves without saying anything to them in turn; but he was certainly listening closely to every word.
ooc: XD A long one this time...

Lina huffed as she frowned. "Can you really blame me? I normally don't do that at home if you must know. You try waking up suddenly in a world not your own." She than hit the palm of her left hand with her right balled into a fist and growled out, "When I find that Xellos bastard, he is so going to tell me why I am here, and gods and monsters be damned if it's a secret."
"But yeah, don't worry. I will not go destroying every thing that ticks me off." Lina responded as she started walking towards the van. She figured not facing these 'Anti-Meta Human Task Force' was a good idea after the fiasco in Green Bay.
"Still, I want to check out the festival in Shakopee on the way." She said and then looked at her wrist and sighed. "I really wish I could of found my talisman..." At that moment, something fell from above and klunked Lina on the head. She swayed as her eyes got a distant look in them. Only one word was said before she fell over unconcious.
"Koala."
The item responsible was the missing talisman in question. Resting right in front of her head.

"I don't blame you, hell, after you snapped I told Ed here that I wasn't gonna give you crap about the Stadium." Recalling a few...episodes of his own when landing on a new world. Over time he learned to conceal his identity as an off-worlder... but when you accidentally land in a crowded area Hell WILL break loose and fast!
She mentioned wanting to see the Renaissance Fair. "Well we're headinl in that direction, I guess we can hide out there for awhile" Then something about a guy named... Zelos!? Immediately his blood began to boil. (Failos, she knows that ass-hat!?) He wondered aloud. "Say, your world wouldn't be called 'Aselia' would it?" But before he got an answer, that Talisman he swiped during the fight came from out of nowhere and clocked her good! "Terrific..." As he emerged from the van to assist her unconscious form into the vehicle; while doing so he heard sounds from above and looked up to see 3 black helicopters heading towards Green Bay. "Sh*t! We've gotta head!" A fast response... for once. "Rain check on that Fair; I imagine there're already roadblocks setup around the state lines."

[/style][style=width: 325px; font-family: georgia; font-size: 15px; color : #hexcode; margin-top: -50px;]Though I knew the laws, I paid no heed... How can I return your wasted breath? Yes, he could blame her. Hell, if their positions had been reversed, he wouldn't have have gone on a rampage and started destroying everything. He would have quietly tried to figure out where he was, how he'd got there, and then start searching for a way to return to his home. In the meanwhile, he probably would have searched for a way to make a living, or at least enough money to keep himself fed and healthy. But pointing his own tactics if he'd been the off-worlder might just set Lina off again. So he chose to keep his mouth shut. He may now have regained the use of his arm and leg, but that didn't mean he wasn't completely exhausted. He wanted to sleep, to just relax and let his body recover. But that wasn't an option. Besides... If they were going to some fair thing, he would need to stay awake. He sighed irritably before replying. "Alright, I'll try to put in a word for you then." This was just getting better and better, he thought sarcastically.
He looked in surprise at Ryuusei when he spoke again; it seemed as if he'd just gotten an idea as to where Lina was from. Aselia wasn't anywhere he'd heard of though, nor read of; and he read a lot, enough said. Then he blinked a bit, staring as Lina keeled over and fell unconscious. Was that a rock...? He snorted under his breath. Oh suuuure... She could destroy a city with a few singsong words, but a stone falling out of the sky was enough to knock her out? It was... Almost amusing. He followed Ryuusei out of the van, about to help him drag Lina back into the vehicle. Then the noise of helicopters passing by overhead made him groan. Oh great, they were already coming.
He had half a mind to turn tail at that moment and return to Green Bay, where he could at least try to assist in the rebuilding. Fixing the place after it had been messed up by the clash between the three of them had been easy enough, he'd just had to put things back the way they were. But within the crater that now occupied the area; there were no raw materials for him to transmute left. He would end up helping rebuild things from scratch. But if he went back now, he might just run into someone from the Alliance that could get him in contact with a higher up. Then he could explain what had happened, and put through Lina's request to join up.
The main thing which stopped him from heading back was the fact that he'd likely be in quite a bit of trouble. He'd only just joined the Alliance on France's military orders, and he'd already gotten involved in some massive damage. True, he'd repaired the damage that he himself had done; but the fact he'd participated in its destruction in the first place could very well get him court-martialed or something. The Colonel would be rather pissed at him for getting in trouble so soon; so he'd likely get a rather annoying call from the irritable superior soon after. But of course... Running away from this would only make him seem like a child who hid his bedsheets after wetting the bed; as his damn father had once told him. He'd already vowed not to run away, and he wasn't going back on that now. And the last thing he needed right now was to make himself look bad so soon.
With a sigh, he turned back to Ryuusei and the unconscious Lina. "Listen, if she really is interested in joining the Alliance, the easiest way to get her in contact with them would be to head back to Green Bay now and meet them as they arrive. If she accepts the consequences of her actions, she'd certainly give herself a better starting position." He crossed his arms, his voice becoming more serious as he spoke again. "I'm returning now whether you two come or not. Running away won't result in anything good. I understand if you run out the moment you get there, and I won't mention your name to anyone if you don't want me to; but I'd appreciate it if you helped me haul her back to Green Bay. Your vehicle would be very useful for that." He looked down at Lina and nudged her limp arm with the toe of his boot. He needed to find out if she would be returning or not. "Hey, Lina; get up." He said loudly, trying rouse her back to the world of the living.
ooc: Perhaps now would be a good time to invite the Horned Frog into the thread? It would help with all the stuff going on in Green Bay, and Lina could meet up with him and get into the Alliance; maybe. lol

(OOC: That was actually going to be a seperate thread after the world's greatest road trip of bandit/criminal buttkick. ^_^ This and your posts are the wrap up.)
Lina was still out cold as Ryuusei tried to wake her up. "No mommy...I don't wanna play with big sis Luna...she scary." She said still dazed and then added, "Gourry hard to port..." The helicopter didn't even wake her until she passed the smell of hot wings and than woke up and ravenously downed the whole bucket full of chicken.
She looked to them and said, "Something going on?" Then looked to Ed and spoke. "Look, I am not a bad guy. I still beat up criminals and such, I just prefer to rob them of their loot as well or make some money off of it. What's wrong with earning a living kicking villian butt?" Then in a sly seductive voice said, "After all, a girl's gotta live." She gave Ed a wink to emphasize the point.
"So, off to the Ren fest and then to the Alliance HQ where ever that may be?" She asked with a smile, completely unaware of the helicopters that had been overhead as she was passed out. Spotting her missing talisman, she smiled and strapped it back on.

"I asked if the place you came from was called 'Aselia'." After she had awaken. "Then inquired. "So is 'Luna' cute too?" And tried to picture an older Lina as she mumbled about her 'big sis'.
Fun aside, he then gave Ed a hard look after his proposal. "No offense dude, but this isn't like 'swiping some Old Lady's purse because you're desperate for cash then returning after a crisis of conscience and begging the Popo for leniency. This was an entire city that got nuked into a crater; granted nobody died, but it was by a force few people outside of those who had their bojangs replaced with d20's truly grasp, and even fewer can use; Magic. The Feds will WANT that power for themselves; and will do whatever they want to get it." He continued. "None of us are U.S. Residents so we have no rights, even with you in the Alliance, admitting ANY involvement will give the Feds reason to detain you. They invent some bull*t connecting you to a Terror Cell and imprison you in Gitmo for life. And the Alliance can't do sh*t for you since I doubt they'll challenge a Sovereign Nation.
A smirk crossed his face. "Ehehe... And what's funny is, YOU'll be the lucky one; me and her; we're both Aliens and'll be carted off to some lab to be dissected so they can f*ck around our abilities... And it WON'T be for the Good of Mankind, I can tell you that much for sure."
He gave a long sigh. "I'm not gonna force you, because you believe you're doing the right thing by wanting to go back; but remember, any Good you could do will be impossible if you're rotting in a Cell for the rest of your life. With that said, I think our best bet is to get off U.S. Soil and THEN try to contact your buddies. So that means we'll miss the fair, but to make up for it I'll take you out some time." Giving Lina a wink of his own. Then went to the Driver's seat. "We need to get movin'; since we're close to Canada, they'll have roadblocks out the asshole; so we'll have to go way, WAY down Mexico Way."

[/style][style=width: 325px; font-family: georgia; font-size: 15px; color : #hexcode; margin-top: -50px;]Though I knew the laws, I paid no heed... How can I return your wasted breath? Edward listened to Ryuusei without a word, not paying much attention Lina. What should he care of she went around kicking criminal butt? It wasn't all that uncommon. But Ryuusei definitely had a point. While the Alliance may have been trying to protect the world from aliens, that didn't mean they working hand-in-hand with the United States. From what he'd read about the place, it was a proud country which ran under the motto "Liberty and Justice for all", and embraced the so-called Freedom. Whoever ran the country probably had little or no knowledge of France's science level; with the alchemy and auto-mail and stuff. So they would certainly not expect him to have any special powers or something. Even when they saw his limbs, they would just assume he was a lucky survivor of some tragedy; not entirely a lie. And he was, after all, only 16. He could just play as a witness, mention he joined the alliance as an in-training cadet or something. He'd find some way to cover his own ass until he spoke to someone friendly with the alliance, and play the "just a kid" card. So he had a feeling he'd be just fine in returning.
"I'm not the one who reduced the place to a crater. I doubt they would try detaining me, or performing weird tests. They can't force me to do alchemy, and they wouldn't even know what it was even if I revealed I could do it; or if they got eyewitness accounts. Anyone who observed the little clash would see and tell them I fixed the place, before it got blown off the map. Alchemy supposedly died out in the United States a long time ago, didn't it? So there would be some confusion there. And no, I am not a US resident, but I have a Visa and I entered the country legally; so nothing can be held against me there." Even if he was detained, he could easily break out. All it took was a transmutation circle; and there were infinite ways to draw one. But... As Ryussei and Lina were both off-worlders; aliens themselves... They certainly wouldn't be given the same treatment as himself. A laboratory with creepy tests would be in store for them for sure.
Edward sighed and rested his head in his gloved hands, massaging his forehead. "Fugitive already, huh?" He said, referring to both of them and himself. "Alright, fine; I'll come with you two. After all, you'll need someone who is registered as a member if they find you; so I can get your through questioning and stuff. Once we get out of the line of fire, I'll see if I can get in contact with a higher up to arrange a meeting." Edward climbed into the car again, returning to his place at the back among the Cargo.
ooc: Sorry, pretty crappy ending on my part. lol

Lina had stopped listening to Ryuusei and Ed just after he had mentioned Luna. "Luna...she's here?" Her eyes went wide with fear as she suddenly shoved Ryuusei out of the driver's seat and got into it herself. All the while gibbering like an idiot.
The only sentences that made sense uttered by her was, "If she finds out I destroyed a city; she will punish me. I AM A DEAD WOMAN!!!" With that, she floored the gas pedal and put it into gear as the van took off literally cross country going south at speeds that would do the road runner proud.
A chuckle issued out of nowhere from where as a voice said. "This should prove amusing."
