Appearance:
Gina stands at exactly five foot two in her human form, thin but sturdy. Though small, what flesh she does have is pure muscle. She’s reflexive by nature and lithe in movement, a fact that expresses itself with every action - she’s been trained that way. Her eyes are quite large and a stark contrast to her sharp, pixie-like chin, giving her an almost comical appearance when making any sort of dramatic facial expression... which is almost constantly. She’s pretty but perhaps not beautiful, at least not stereotypically.
Her hair is so black it is nearly blue, especially in the light. Plenty of fringe adheres to her forehead and cheeks and intensifies the mismatching features of her face. Her hair is quite long, usually braided and easily down to her ankles, except that it’s quite thin down there and therefore tends to bounce and fly around. When not braided, it trails behind her like a wedding train. Her uniform consists of a short-sleeved and short-hemmed kimono dress and matching wristlets. A large pink bow is tied at the waist, the only hint of feminity she allows herself. And, though small, the pure-gold clasp that keeps her braid set is the most obvious sign of her royal status.
Personality:
Gina, in a word, is something of a fool. That’s not to say she’s unintelligent - in fact, quite the contrary, she’s extremely intelligent, and even more so, she’s sharp. But she’s incredibly instinctive and very easily makes a fool of herself by saying or doing the first thing that pops into her head in any given situation. This tends to be quite hilarious, but not so much to her, as she has far too much pride to be laughed at. In fact, she has far too much pride, period.
Speaking of hilarity, Gina is almost unrealistically overdramatic. She can turn a paper cut into a sword wound if it suits her purpose, and though her Guards usually hide their laughter and go along with it, she’s not always so lucky with others. Smooth is something poor Gina is not, and so when she puts on such a ridiculous front and turns a mole hill into a mountain, it’s regarded by those who don’t know her well (or those who are very close to her) with incredulity and, more often, teasing, which only causes her pride to rile herself up and her formidable little fire-cracker of a temper to make itself known. She holds grudges and often stews for days before forgiving someone. But when it comes down to it, she is loyal and dedicated, trying the best she can to do what’s right for everyone involved in whatever problem she happens to have on hand.
Powers/Abilities
Gina does not really have powers or abilities, except the ability to morph into human form, one that she uses essentially all the time while on Earth.
Weaknesses/Physical Flaws/Psychological Flaws:
- Impulsiveness - Though she’s been trained all her life to maintain a steady head, the basic fact of the matter is that Gina is impulsive by nature. She reacts emotionally often without considering first, and though she uses sharp wit in a fight, outside of a life-or-death situation she is very liable to say or do something frankly stupid simply because it’s her instinct to do so.
- Changed forms - Gina’s human form is quite adept, but it cannot compare to her larger, stronger, more protective Tartalian form. Because of this, she sometimes finds herself thrown off when she does something and expects it to occur with the force of her lizard-like form and instead it is done with much weaker human strength.
- Caring - As a princess, being caring is both a blessing and a curse. It gives her the ability to empathize with those she is sworn to lead, but at the same time it leaves her horribly restricted when it comes to options for punishment or protective action. In that sense, she is truly weak.
- Unwilling royal - She takes her responsibilities as a princess very seriously - but that doesn’t mean she appreciates them. Though she would never admit it, Gina often finds herself wishing she were just another citizen, rather than a single young woman dealing with the possible extinction of her entire race if she does not succeed in protecting them.
History:
Most of Gina’s history is covered in the Tartalian Guide. Since the evacuation of her tribe from Tartalia, Gina has since come to Earth to seek help and/or assist in the effort against the Imperium. With her tribe’s population so dearly slighted, Earth seemed to be her only measure left against her enemy, and even now she clings to it. As such, she has adopted a human form that she has rarely if ever released since obtaining; it helps her connect more with the humans she now interacts with regularly, and it also helps her own race become more accustomed to living in the world of an entirely different species.
